What religion is practiced in Kyrgyzstan?
Most people in Kyrgyzstan practice a moderate form of Islam. There are also numerous religious minorities, the largest being the Russian Orthodox community.
The south of the country tends to be more religious than the north.
Kyrgyz people have also inherited a strong nomadic culture, and some shamanistic rituals are still integrated into daily practices.
