Kyrgyzstan

Two official languages are spoken: Kyrgyz, a language close to Turkish, and Russian.
People in the north tend to speak more Russian, while those in the south speak mainly Kyrgyz and Uzbek.
In villages, most people speak Kyrgyz, whereas in Bishkek, Russian predominates.
Learning a few words in either language will help you communicate with locals.
