Over 90% of Kyrgyzstan is covered in high mountains and it is completely landlocked. Its geography gives it a dry continental climate with very cold winters and very hot summers. Strong winds sometimes occur and should be taken seriously.
Of course, the climate depends on the region and the altitude: it can be 40°C in Bishkek and snowing in the mountains just a few kilometers away.
Bring clothing suitable for all types of weather during your trip.
