Otherwise, it's advisable to buy a mobile phone on arrival. You can find them at the airport or in most shops. For a rechargeable line, simply register your name and passport number with the shop assistant. The vendors handle all the formalities at the time of SIM card purchase. Dtac and 1-2-call, also known as AIS, are among the main telephone operators in Thailand. With more users than other providers, these two operators are present throughout the country. Their credit top-ups are even sold in small convenience stores like 7-Eleven. With a SIM card, you can enjoy unlimited 4G coverage practically everywhere in the country.

Internet

Apart from remote and isolated areas, Thailand benefits from excellent wired and wifi connectivity, particularly in tourist destinations. Internet services are affordable and increasingly integral to Thai daily life. Cybercafés are found in almost every corner, even in small towns. Generally, owners charge around 30 baht per hour. Most Thai tourist establishments such as shopping malls, restaurants, and hotels offer free wifi. The government reserves the right to block certain pages that incite rebellion or hatred toward the royal family, though freedom of expression is otherwise protected.

Postal Services

In Thailand, postal services remain operational despite the expansion of new technologies like the internet. They remain highly efficient and less expensive than in France. Each post office offers services for delivery by land, sea, or air. Normally, mail arrives in France within 8 to 10 days of dispatch. Alternatively, you can use EMS Speed Post services if you need to send an urgent package or document. Delivery time for this service takes a maximum of 3 days to European countries, though you should expect to pay more: approximately 1,100 baht for the first kilos.
