What language is spoken in Laos?
The official language of Laos, Lao, is spoken by about 58 percent of the population. Other languages include Khmu, Thai, Phu, Hmong Njua, Sô, and Phuan, spoken in various regions of the country.
Some people still speak French, which used to be an official language of Laos. Today, most locals learn English as a foreign language.
