What is the Minimum Daily Package required by the Bhutanese government?

To regulate tourism, the Bhutanese government requires all foreign visitors to pay a Minimum Daily Package.
This fee amounts to USD 250 per person per day for groups of three or more people.
For groups of two people, it is USD 280, and for solo travelers, USD 290.
During the low season (winter and monsoon), the rate decreases to USD 200.

The daily package includes:

  • The services of a licensed guide

  • Accommodation in three-star hotels or higher

  • A daily government royalty of USD 65

  • Private transportation

  • All meals

  • Entry fees to museums and monuments

The package does not include drinks, tips, or personal expenses.
