What language is spoken in Mongolia?
The official language is Khalkha Mongolian. Mongolian belongs to the Mongolic language group, itself part of the Altaic language family.
All Mongolic languages combined are spoken by 95% of the population. The second-most spoken language is Russian, followed by Chinese and English. In the west, the Kazakh ethnic group speaks Kazakh.
