Salad Beach Resort sits on Haad Salad beach in northwest Koh Phangan, in the southern Gulf of Thailand. Rated 3-star, the property combines rooms and bungalows scattered through a tropical garden, a beachfront restaurant and direct access to a cove renowned for its calm waters.
Why choose Salad Beach Resort
The resort's appeal lies in its location: Haad Salad is one of Koh Phangan's most sheltered coves, set apart from the party scene of the island's southern beaches. The sand is white, the water shallow and fringed with palms, and an offshore reef makes snorkeling from the beach possible.
Access takes 20 to 25 minutes from Thong Sala port, where ferries arrive. The resort offers shuttle service from the port, to be arranged at the time of booking.
Atmosphere and style
The property embraces retro-inspired décor: dark wood furnishings, traditional Thai fabrics and vintage touches in common areas. The overall feel remains understated, without the decorative excess of some neighbouring resorts. Common spaces open directly onto the beach, and the restaurant terrace descends straight onto the sand.
The general atmosphere is peaceful. Haad Salad attracts a mainly family and couple clientele, unlike the lively beaches of Haad Rin to the south.

Accommodation is split between rooms and bungalows, with three view options:

- sea view.
Rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with the standards expected in this category: television, refrigerator, kettle, safe. Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort. Pets are not permitted.

The Cuttaleeya restaurant on-site serves a menu blending Thai and international cuisine. In the evening, staff set tables on the beach for fish barbecue, followed by the house specialty, Fried Ice Cream.
The resort also features:
- an outdoor pool open year-round, with sun loungers and umbrellas,
- a wellness area offering Thai massage, oil massage and facial treatments,
- a platform overlooking the beach, set up as a private space with sun loungers.
Canoes and kayaks are available for rent to explore the nearby coast.
Location and access
Haad Salad is flanked by three other bays in the northwest: Haad Yao to the south, Mae Haad to the west and Chaloklum to the north. The resort's beach is 200 metres from the entrance. Travel around the island is by rented scooter or songthaew taxi. Allow 30 to 40 minutes to reach Thong Sala, the main commercial hub.
What to see and do nearby
France Plongée diving centre, an English-speaking diving school, is located at the entrance to the nearby village and offers PADI courses and try-dives at dive sites in north Koh Phangan.
Mae Haad, just a few kilometres away, is known for its sandbank that joins the islet of Koh Ma at low tide, another notable snorkeling site. Chaloklum, further north, retains its working fishing village character and seafood restaurants.
