A 21-tent glamping camp on the edge of Khao Sok National Park, in Phanom: hotel comfort under canvas, with jungle and Cheow Lan Lake nearby.

Khao Sok Hideaway Boutique is a glamping camp set in Phanom District, on the edge of Khao Sok National Park. Twenty-one air-conditioned tents scattered among limestone mountains, palms and a pond offer a night in the heart of the jungle without sacrificing the comfort of a hotel room.

Why choose this accommodation

Khao Sok Hideaway appeals to travellers who want to sleep as close as possible to Khao Sok National Park, one of Southeast Asia's oldest tropical rainforests, without roughing it. The formula brings together three rarely combined elements: tents equipped with private bathrooms, an immediate 100% natural environment (the park is about ten kilometres away, Cheow Lan Lake around twenty), and straightforward logistics from Phuket — allow approximately 2 to 2.5 hours' drive.

The camp makes an ideal stop on an itinerary connecting the Andaman coast to southern mainland Thailand, or as a base for two to three nights dedicated to jungle activities.

Atmosphere and setting

The tents are set beside a pond, facing the karst reliefs characteristic of the region. The camp focuses on a low-key atmosphere: no entertainment, no background music, just the sounds of the forest and, at dawn, mist hovering over the pond before the sun dispels it.

Organic gardens are cultivated on-site and partly supply the restaurant kitchen. The shaded patio serves as a daytime gathering point for reading, lunch or organising the next day's outings with the team.

The tents

The camp has 21 luxury tents, all air-conditioned and non-smoking, with traditional Thai-inspired décor (wood, local textiles). Each tent features a balcony overlooking vegetation or the pond, a kettle for hot drinks, and a private bathroom equipped with rainfall showerheads and basic toiletries.

The format remains that of glamping: hotel comfort, but canvas structure and immersion in the surrounding jungle soundscape.

Services and dining

On-site facilities:

  • Outdoor pool and common patio
  • Thai restaurant with continental buffet breakfast served under canvas
  • Wi-Fi, free parking, housekeeping service
  • Shuttle and transfer service (useful from Phuket or Surat Thani)
  • Car rental on request

The restaurant offers local specialities in the evening and a buffet in the morning, with pastries and crêpes alongside savoury dishes. Meals are taken outdoors, overlooking the garden.
