The Classic Route

An Authentic Experience

The classic route known as Co Classical is an authentic guided experience that will immerse you in a lush and welcoming ecosystem while revealing Chiang Mai at its finest. As you learn about the city's historical, cultural, and creative dimensions, towering mountains will frame the landscape, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Your departure begins near the famous Tha Phae Gate of Chiang Mai, from where you'll venture immediately off the main roads and into traditional backstreets with your guide. You'll find yourself captivated by countless temples along your path, as well as by markets and charming alleyways throughout the neighborhoods. In the background, mountains rise majestically above handsome buildings, creating a radiant backdrop.

You'll quickly notice that Chiang Mai moves to a different rhythm than the rest of the country—slower, more peaceful. You'll be welcomed by remarkably warm residents whose hospitality and generosity are truly unmatched. Along the trails where you'll pedal, you may encounter mountain tribe communities going about their often artisanal daily pursuits.

The Route for Food Lovers

An Off-the-Beaten-Path Itinerary

The enhanced program called Co Combo, running an hour longer than Co Classical, allows you to explore a more remote part of Chiang Mai. You'll have the chance to wander through the lively market along the Ping River and taste the extraordinary flavors of northern Thai cuisine throughout your journey.

The route begins near the moat of Chiang Mai's ancient fortifications. Cycling through the city, you'll observe the peaceful daily rhythms of its residents. As you move away from the old ramparts, you'll encounter the vibrancy and atmosphere of traditional Thai markets, where scents and flavors abound in delightful abundance. Wandering from alley to alley, you'll pass exotic fruits and can stop to meet locals in small shops, sampling an astonishing variety of delicious snacks or challenging your palate to new experiences.

The Ping River and Its Ancient Bridge

Your guide will lead you across the bridge spanning the Ping River, an important tributary of the Chao Praya. Historically, Thais used this bridge to transport teak logs to Bangkok. The crossing will take you along the river's banks where you'll discover a serene environment and several splendid Buddhist temples in the Lanna style, crafted from teak wood. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy typical local dishes at a charming, tucked-away restaurant. You'll return to your starting point after experiencing a slice of northern Thai life and the magnificent landscapes of the region's cultural heritage.
