Day 3In the heart of the jungle

  • You then continue your trek towards Lintang Hill, where you will spend your first night in a tent. "Bukit Lintang" is home to a wide variety of wild animals, including wild boar, Malayan tapir, numerous deer and, of course, the Sumatran tiger. On the other side of the hill, you can watch and listen to the morning call of the gibbons and hornbills. Your guide will then help you to spot tiger or tapir tracks. After around 5 hours' walking, you reach an unnamed waterfall, where you will spend the night. Take advantage of the cool water to swim in the natural pool carved out of the rock. Day 5An aquarium in the forest

  • You continue your trek through lush, unspoilt jungle, before reaching Lake Kaco, whose waters are an almost phosphorescent blue! It's like an aquarium in the forest. It's a well-deserved swim, with plenty of exotic fish and a few freshwater crabs. This natural pool is fed by a spring. Set up camp on the edge of the lake. Finally, a night walk to track civets, flying squirrels and a few tree frogs.
