1. Chillva Night Market Phuket

If Chillva is our favorite night market in Phuket, it's because it stands out from the typical touristy markets you're used to seeing. Recently opened and frequented more by locals than tourists, it's known as the trendiest night market in Phuket among young Thais.

While it's characterized by a relaxed and festive vibe, Chillva Night Market also features some unique shops and bars set up in containers. You'll find a music stage in the middle of the market and numerous stalls—some dedicated to street food and others to clothing (new and secondhand) and all sorts of souvenirs! All at relatively affordable prices!

2. Phuket Weekend Market (Naka Market or Phuket Chatuchak)

Also called Naka Market or Phuket Chatuchak (in reference to Bangkok's famous market), Phuket Weekend Market is the largest night market in Phuket. A true treasure trove where you won't know where to look first, you'll find absolutely everything! It's no wonder Thai locals call it "Talad Tairod," which could be translated as a flea market.

Naka Market consists of a covered section where you can find an impressive variety of secondhand items (clothing, objects and knick-knacks…) and an open section with high-tech gadgets, fashion accessories, jewelry, and a food section. In the latter, all your senses come alive! Get ready to taste colorful and flavorful local dishes…

Note: Teeming with crowds, the heat can be overwhelming (especially in the covered section). We recommend bringing water and visiting after sunset, from 7 pm onwards!

3. Phuket Indy Night Market

A change of scenery! After the bustling atmosphere of Phuket's largest night market, head to a small, peaceful night market: Indy Night Market. You'll find handcrafted items, new and secondhand clothing, fashion accessories—all in a nice atmosphere with music, open-air bars, and occasional street performances.

But if we had to highlight one thing about this market: it's the food stalls with excellent value for money! Pad Thai, skewers, fried chicken, mango sticky rice… All Thai culinary specialties await you here. You get the idea—if you're looking for a small, less-crowded night market in Phuket where you can stroll and savor ultra-flavorful cuisine, this is the place!

4. Sunday Walking Street Market (or Lard Yai)

Also known as Lardyai (meaning "big market"), the Sunday Walking Street Market is a family gathering spot on Sunday evenings. On this occasion, the famous Thalang road, located in the heart of Phuket's historic old town, becomes pedestrian-only. Like most Thai night markets, you'll find numerous typical dishes as well as souvenir, craft, and clothing shops.

What we love about Sunday Walking Street Market? Beyond shopping and enjoying some street food, you get to discover a street with stunning architecture! The buildings in a style known as "Sino-Portuguese"—influenced by European and Chinese architectural styles—offer ultra-colorful facades! These reflect Phuket's commercial past during the tin-mining era.

5. Malin Plaza Patong

Malin Plaza Patong offers a wide selection of souvenir and food stalls but remains human-sized. Moreover, while there are crowds, you can stroll without stepping on each other! For shopping, you'll find everything: from t-shirts to jeans, bags, beauty products, knick-knacks and souvenirs, to high-tech products.

But once again, what catches our attention at this market are its numerous street food stalls where you can taste Thai specialties at bargain prices. And since market food is often much better and cheaper than what you'll find in tourist restaurants, we can only recommend you visit!
