An ideal itinerary for all lovers of diverse and varied landscapes such as the Mides canyons, the waterfalls of mountain oases, the vastness of the salt lake and its mirages as well as the desert, without requiring any particular physical effort.
The Berber culture, particularly present in southern Tunisie, manifests itself especially through the constructions erected by the local population of the time to protect themselves from Arab invasions: and it is the troglodytes of the Matmata region and the ksour of the Tataouine region that awaken and stir curiosity.
This circuit allows you to discover an authentic Tunisie, between ancestral traditions, grandiose landscapes and unique architectural heritage. Berber villages, verdant oases and vast desert expanses offer total escape and immersion in a preserved environment. Day-by-day itinerary
From Djerba to Tozeur
After breakfast, we meet up with our accompanying team and head towards Kébili, via the ferry and the oasis town El Hamma. Lunch on the way.
Continuation for Tozeur via crossing the Chott el Jerid, an immense salt lake stretching over a hundred kilometers where one frequently sees mirages.
Check-in at the hotel or in a guest house. Dinner and overnight stay.
The Oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides
Tozeur → Mides
In the morning, visit of the Chebika oasis, probably the most beautiful in the region. This enchanting place located in the middle of the desert offers a surprising setting with ochre-colored sand and gypsum mountains or orange rocks surrounding it.
Continue towards the Tamerza oasis and the discovery of its waterfalls.
It is in this picturesque setting that we have lunch. Then, road towards the Mides canyons, magnificent mountain oasis stretching over 3 kilometers. We take a short walk there.
From Tozeur to Douz
After breakfast, departure to discover the old town of Tozeur and its oasis. Visit to the Eden Palm museum dedicated to date palm cultivation and its derivatives.
Early afternoon, departure for Douz, where we will visit the Sahara museum. Its exhibition illustrates the life of the local population, as well as the fauna and flora of this part of the desert located between the Grand Erg Oriental and the southern boundary of the Chott El-Jérid.
Late afternoon, opportunity for a camel ride in the desert at sunset.
Hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Troglodytes, Caravans and Arrival in Tataouine
Departure for the Sahara via the discovery of the troglodytes of Matmata.
Then, entry into the desert by the Caravan Trail. Lunch in a camp

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passeport
Pour entrer en Tunisie, votre passeport doit être valide au minimum six mois après la date d'entrée dans le pays et comporter au moins une page vierge pour les tampons d'immigration.
Le document doit être en bon état (pas de pages détériorées, déchirées ou modifiées).
Les ressortissants de certains pays de l'EEE (notamment les citoyens français) peuvent entrer en Tunisie avec une carte nationale d'identité en cours de validité. Il est toutefois recommandé de voyager avec un passeport valide.
Séjour touristique sans visa
Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen, de la Suisse et du Canada bénéficient d'une exemption de visa pour les séjours touristiques.
Cette exemption permet un séjour pouvant aller jusqu'à 90 jours à compter de la date d'entrée sur le territoire tunisien.
Les autorités peuvent demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour,
une réservation d'hébergement pour au moins les premiers jours du séjour.

Déclaration de devises
L'introduction de devises étrangères en Tunisie est autorisée, mais tout montant supérieur à 10 000 euros ou l'équivalent doit être déclaré à la douane à l'arrivée. La devise locale, le dinar tunisien (TND), ne peut pas être importée ni exportée.
Voyage avec des enfants
Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport (ou carte nationale d'identité selon leur nationalité) valide couvrant la durée du séjour.
Lorsqu'un mineur voyage sans l'un de ses parents, une autorisation de sortie du territoire peut être exigée selon la réglementation du pays de résidence, ainsi qu'une lettre d'autorisation parentale à la demande des autorités tunisiennes.

Les conditions d'entrée peuvent varier selon la nationalité. Les voyageurs concernés doivent se renseigner auprès de l'ambassade ou du consulat de Tunisie de leur pays de résidence.
