Route to Douz and entry into the desert
Arrival in Douz in late morning and guided tour of the Sahara Museum, prelude to our upcoming journey.
Douz → Désert
Then, transfer by 4X4 vehicle to Bir Abdallah, in the mythical Sahara desert. Meeting with our warm team that will make up our caravan: camel driver, cook and let's not forget our hump-backed companions, the dromedaries. These will come to support us in case of fatigue, but will notably be our pack animals to transport luggage, provisions and all the necessary equipment for the smooth running of the adventure over the next five days.
This evening, we pitch our Berber tents between Bir Abdallah and Tembaïn. Dinner around a palm fire.

Immersed in the desert
To Désert
4 full days of immersion in the desert are on the program.
Breaking camp after a Saharan breakfast and continuing to progress through the desert. Meals are prepared on site. They are copious and well-balanced : salads at lunch and cooked vegetables in the evening accompanied by the traditional bread cooked in the sand, mechoui, couscous, soup, seasonal fruits, tea, water, always around a palm fire around which impromptu evenings are organized by the camel drivers performing their repertoire of traditional songs.
Through ergs and regs, between TembaÏn, Dakyanis and Tinessouan we move through this unusual setting, Saharan landscapes with enchanting ever-changing beauty. As we progress, in the distance, we observe caravans in motion, or even these gazelles, queens of these lands…
