Phrae Beach: Koh Lanta's largest and liveliest beach

Also known as Long Beach, Phrae Beach is Koh Lanta's largest. Lined with casuarina trees (South-East Asian pines), it stretches for 5 kilometres and is much beloved by younger visitors – drawn by the area's vibrant nightlife. Yet despite this, Phrae Beach remains a tranquil spot!

Special features: Khlong Dao Beach is a beach that's both lively and peaceful at once, with certain beachside bars offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy a drink while relaxed in a hammock (ideal for watching the sunset!).

Relax Bay Beach: a cove with emerald waters

Good to know: jellyfish presence in Thailand

The jellyfish is a marine species that loves warm waters. As a result, it migrates (and congregates) on certain spots, attracted by the pleasant beach temperatures.

In Thailand, jellyfish appear between November and April, when water temperatures hover around 30°C!

Although mostly harmless, a jellyfish sting causes a burning sensation and itching. Before taking a dip, it's best to keep an eye out… for a trouble-free summer in Thailand!
