Villas with private pools on Ko Yao Noi island, in Phang Nga Bay: traditional Thai wood and thatch architecture, Rice Paddy restaurant and direct beach access.

Niramaya Villa is a villa complex with private pools located on Ko Yao Noi island, in Phang Nga Bay, between Phuket and Krabi. The property emphasizes reimagined traditional Thai architecture, a restaurant working with local producers, and direct beach access.

Why choose Niramaya Villa

Ko Yao Noi remains one of the least developed islands in the bay: no airport, no heavy traffic, just fishing villages and rubber plantations. Niramaya Villa fits this context with a coherent architectural approach: thatched roofs, wooden walls, and expansive glass doors opening villas onto the tropical garden and sea.

The property suits travellers seeking a beach getaway on Thailand's Andaman coast without the tourist density of Phuket or Krabi, combined with upscale comfort and the option to blend relaxation, yoga and boat excursions around the bay.

Atmosphere

The site is organized around a tropical garden and an infinity pool facing the sea. The beach sits directly across from the complex: swimming is possible at high tide, beach walks at low tide—a typical Phang Nga Bay rhythm worth planning around to schedule your swims accordingly.

A bar sits between the restaurant and pool, and yoga classes are offered on-site. Everything remains intimate in scale, without loud entertainment.

The villas

All villas feature a private pool. Three categories are available:

  • Luxury Villa: designed for couples, with bedroom, living area and minibar.
  • Family Villa: two-storey, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, living room with television (international channels), minibar and sofa bed for an extra guest.
  • Suite: available in sea view or tropical garden view versions.

The architecture blends local materials (wood, thatch) with expansive glass doors that extend living spaces towards the garden and pool.

Dining and services

The Rice Paddy restaurant serves traditional Thai cuisine crafted from ingredients sourced by local producers and fishermen: curries, pad thai, salads, soups, plus international classics. Vegan and vegetarian options feature on the menu, complemented by a wine selection, cocktails and fresh juices.

For wellness, the spa offers bespoke massages and treatments available in the spa cabin, in your villa, poolside or on the beach. Yoga classes round out the offerings.

Access and location

Ko Yao Noi is reached by ferry from Phuket or Krabi (Bang Rong pier on the Phuket side, Thalane on the Krabi side). Expect a crossing of roughly one hour depending on your departure port and vessel type (standard ferry or speedboat).

Once on the island, allow about twenty minutes by taxi or tuk-tuk from the pier to the resort. Niramaya Villa can arrange a private transfer from the pier or directly from Phuket or Krabi airport, simplifying arrival with luggage.

When to stay

The Andaman coast enjoys a dry season from November through March, with steady sunshine and calm seas—the most comfortable period for swimming and boat outings. April to May sees temperatures climb. Monsoon arrives through October, bringing frequent showers and choppier seas, though rates drop and the landscape turns lush green.
