Teak villa resort on Laem Tong beach, in the north of Koh Phi Phi Don, within Phi Phi National Marine Park.

In the north of Koh Phi Phi Don, on Laem Tong beach, Zeavola occupies one of the archipelago's most serene coves. The resort comprises teak timber villas inspired by a traditional Thai village, scattered between gardens, waterfront and a tree-clad hillside, within Phi Phi National Marine Park.

Why stay here

  • Cohesive teak architecture faithful to southern Thai vernacular, with no stylistic breach with the landscape
  • A location away from the bustle of Tonsai Bay, on the relatively unspoilt Laem Tong beach
  • A spa built around four traditions (Thai, Chinese, Polynesian, European), rare at this level of specialization
  • Direct access to Phi Phi National Marine Park sites by resort boat-taxi

Atmosphere

The villas favour earth tones, curated furnishings and locally-sourced fabrics. Each features a private outdoor area. The design plays on transparency between interior and garden, with glass doors and bamboo shutters rather than international luxury codes. The resort positions itself as an upscale establishment, with personalized service and low building density across the grounds.

The villas

Pool Villa Suites

Nestled on the wooded hillside, these 120 m² villas feature a private pool and views over tropical forest. Designed for two guests, they can accommodate up to three adults.

Garden Suite

At 60 m², the Garden Suite opens onto the gardens through glass doors fitted with bamboo shutters. It includes an outdoor shower and sleeps three adults or two adults and one child.

Village Suite

More compact at 40 m², the Village Suite is designed for two adults. It features a king-size bed and a daybed positioned on the outdoor area.

Beachfront Suites

Just three in number, these 60 m² suites open directly onto the Andaman Sea. Floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious outdoor living area, capacity for three adults or two adults and one child.

Dining and services

The resort has two restaurants: Tacada, overlooking the beach, serves Mediterranean cuisine, while Baxil focuses on local fare. In-villa dining and beachside dinners are available upon request.

The Zeavola Spa draws on a heritage blending Thai, Chinese, Polynesian and European traditions. A sauna, hammam, beauty salon and fitness room complete the wellness offer.

Location

The resort occupies the northern tip of Phi Phi Don, on Laem Tong beach, away from the vibrant Tonsai centre. The immediate surroundings are those of the Marine Park: coves accessible on foot or by kayak, warm Andaman waters, snorkelling-friendly depths (corals, tropical fish, occasional sea turtles). To place the resort within its archipelago, consult our Koh Phi Phi guide.

When to visit

The Andaman coast follows a different calendar from the Gulf of Thailand. The dry season, from November to April, offers the best sea conditions and underwater visibility. December to February see peak crowds and highest rates. The monsoon, from May to October, brings occasional heavy rainfall and rougher seas, but also denser vegetation and fewer visitors. September and October remain the most exposed months to severe weather.

Nearby attractions

  • Maya Bay: the bay made famous by film, accessible by boat from Laem Tong
  • Bamboo Island and Mosquito Island: two marine park islets renowned for snorkelling
  • Viking Cave and Phi Phi Leh: caves and limestone cliffs on the neighbouring uninhabited island
  • Monkey Beach: a cove frequented by macaques, a short boat-taxi ride away

How to get there

Access is from Phuket. Reach Rassada Pier by taxi or minibus, then board a ferry to Phi Phi Don (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on operator). On arrival, a resort boat-taxi connects Tonsai to Laem Tong in around fifteen minutes. Allow half a day for transfers from Phuket airport.
