• From Chiang Mai: 3 to 4 hours by bus or minivan, depending on traffic and season.
• From Mae Hong Son: approximately 4 hours by road.
• From Chiang Rai: allow 7 hours for the journey.
• By air: Pai does have an airport, but flights are infrequent; most travellers arrive by road from Chiang Mai.
