Jargalant - Nomadays
Jargalant

Jargalant is one of the sums of the province of Arkhangai, created in 1931 and covering an area of 3842 square kilometres (1483 square miles). It’s composed of five villages (Asait, Khoolt, Erdene Uul, Zuslan and Bayantsagaan that is the centre of the sum). North of the sum, which borders the area of Khövsgöl, is mountainous, covered with forests of larches, cedars, birches and aspens. This sum is known for the joinery and the carpentry, the making of the yurts and the traditional furniture, for the saddlery and the yaks and ovine race breeding. The Chuluut River flows towards the Ider River crossing the southern part of the sum. Wooden houses predominate.

In this sum, we work with many families of the cooperative of yaks breeding Ar Arvidjin Delgerekh. These breeders can make small groups discover the different activities bound to yaks breeding and other nomadic activities.
