Paris Roissy CDG - Antananarivo

• Flight to Antananarivo, dinner on board, arrival during the night at the Ivato Antananarivo airport. Program developed with Air Madagascar for international flights.

• Arrival at the Antananarivo airport, then continuation on the domestic flights towards the west. Our guide Detour Madagascar welcomes you in the lobby of the Philibert Tsiranana airport of Majunga, the arabist, the colorful, the casual. Here, we are very close to the Comoros, not far from Zanzibar. The architecture, the atmosphere remind of these mythical places.
  Walking in town, in the market and in small shops. Free lunch in the restaurant. In the evening we will do like any good mahajangais, a tour on the waterfront, fresh.

• We take the National 4 to Ankarafantsika, located about a hundred kilometers from the city. It is the largest national park in the northwest. As soon as we arrive, we will go to discover the natural resources of the park. It is a mosaic of dense evergreen forest (with evergreen foliage) and dry deciduous forest (with deciduous foliage) inhabited by different kinds of lemurs, half of the 260 species of birds from Madagascar, chameleons, iguanas, soft turtles …

• All morning, we hike in the park.
  After lunch, we take the road towards Antsohihy. We cross many villages, but also large expanses of savanna.
  We make a stop in Antsohihy where we dine in a village restaurant and spend the night in a local hotel.

• Very early, we ship to Antsohihy port on a motorboat to descend the Loza river.
  After a large lake, we emerge on the Mozambique Channel and Analalava.

• Our dhow is waiting for us to sail in the direction of Nosy Lava.

• Heading south, we approach the eastern edge of the long peninsula. We arrived in the small village of Komadjara, Little Paradise.
  The sand screeched under our feet like coarse salt. The baobabs are pink and the lemurs rather white.
  Sacred ibis, herons, ducks in the sky, and even small fish in our shower.
  Around us, men and children smiling in a village crushed by the sun. Beyond that, an incredible immensity.

• We take the opportunity to walk, between land and sea, each at his own pace. Here, the relief is clear and trails are numerous. It is easy to get lost because the Tsingy massif look very similar.
  We will try to be opportunistic …
  Sometimes we dominate this curious peninsula, where the sea is very close.

• An island as you dream …. A large lagoon and a huge beach …. Water with freshwater shrimp that remind us of the purity of water. Primary forest, where huge bats have taken refuge, and, at the top, a splendid landscape beneath our feet.
  Ah the Radama!

• Pink and green in the thousands! A large Malagasy fjord with a primary forest presence A sea like a lake followed by miles of mangroves … For centuries boats have become accustomed to resting there …. Villages sounds…. Animal songs …. And boats silence. We just take advantage of that.

• Nosy Be, the heavenly island, which will stretch out his arms throughout the day. We will discover it in the setting sun lights. But before that, we will walk along the pebble of these last kilometers of "Grande Terre" (Great Land) in order to breathe the last moments of this beautiful journey. The song of the ropes, the golden light of the setting sun, a landscape breathtaking …. And our memories that walk around us.

• The trip is not over yet, we have a few hours ahead of us before joining Nosy Be. A visit to a particularly beautiful and accessible coral site is essential. Quietly pushed by this delightful thermal wind, full head and heart filled, we will touch the beach of Madirokely in Nosy Be with the setting sun … magic!

• Explore freely Nosy Be, the island of Perfume and its surroundings.

  Many activities are possible from the hotel : water sports, fishing, swimming and snorkeling, strolling around the archipelago and sea excursions, motorbike, quad or bike rental, pirogue stroll to the Lokobe Reserve, visiting the local villages or an essential oil distillery at Domaine de Florette, strolling in the local market or to the Sacred Tree, to the waterfall…

  We also advise you take stroll to Mt Passot, best spot to watch the sunset on the entire island.

  You hotel will be able to advise you on those activities. Visits and activities ar your own charge. Possibility to organize excursions and activities, please consult us if needed.

• Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Hell-Ville airport (Andoany) for the return flight to Antananarivo.
  According to the domestic flight schedule, on your arrival in Antananarivo, visit of the craft market: basketry, marquetry, wood carvings, small iron toys, miniature cars, semi-precious stones. Return to Ivato airport early in the evening to take the international flight.
