There are several stops along the way, including Brastagi, where you can discover its famous fruit market.
This 4-day trek is primarily focused on orangutans, but you'll also have the chance to observe a variety of other wildlife, bird species, and unique flora.
Your adventure (rated easy) begins with a walk through a maze of jungle trails, offering your first close encounter with these fascinating primates. As night falls, you'll set up camp in tents along the riverbank, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip.
Day two takes you along an undulating trail, passing through rocky terrain before immersing you deeper into the heart of the jungle.
On the third day, the trek starts with a steady ascent before leading down to natural hot springs by the river—an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the serene surroundings.

The last day of the trek is a gentle return to Ketambe. You will have plenty of time to observe orangutans and other species (siamangs, wild pigs, squirrels, hornbills, etc.).
