Lèng Khin Waterfalls

The Mondulkiri province is home to many hidden natural treasures within its jungles, on the slopes of its mountains, and in the morning mist of the countryside during the monsoon season. Numerous waterfalls, such as Bousra, Chrey Thom, and Lèng Tao, adorn the heart of these jungles, adding to their authentic charm. Who hasn't dreamed of bathing in the cool waters of a waterfall after a long day of trekking through a tropical jungle? Among these refreshing spots is Lèng Khin.

Located in the Oreang district, just a few kilometers from the provincial capital Sen Monorom, the Lèng Khin waterfalls are easily accessible by road directly from the city. They are nestled in a dense mountainous forest, surrounded by numerous pastures and rice fields, which are cultivated by the local communities. This area is their favored environment.

Visiting the Lèng Khin Waterfalls

Why not combine a visit to Lèng Khin Falls with a forest hike? There are many trekking routes in Mondulkiri that take you through various jungles, where you'll encounter wildlife and have the chance to enjoy the natural pools below the waterfalls.

A stop at Lèng Khin is a must to take a dip in the water or simply to rest and picnic while discussing the surroundings with your guide. The air is fresh, and the scenery is breathtaking. Look up, and you'll see the water cascading into the basin. The height of the waterfall varies depending on when you visit. During the dry season (see photos), the falls drop from 22 to 23 meters and span about 7 meters wide. During the rainy season (as shown on the cover), the falls become more powerful, with the water plunging from 28 meters high and the waterfall expanding to 8 meters wide. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in this region of Cambodia, which is rich in waterfalls. The shady and tranquil atmosphere of this little slice of paradise will allow you to rest peacefully in a completely natural setting, making for a vibrant and unforgettable day.
