After your breakfast, set off on a guided tour of the historic center, Let yourself be seduced by the baroque elegance of Ljubljana, in the company of a guide who will reveal its best-kept secrets to you. Between Dragon Bridge, The Triple Bridge or Tromostovje, pastel facades and cobbled streets, you will discover why this capital is nicknamed "the little Prague". Then climb to Ljubljana Castle and embrace the entire city at a glance, right up to the Alps on clear days.
At noon, savor creative local cuisine in one of the capital's many restaurants.
Then discover Ljubljana from a new angle during a boat trip on the Ljubljanica. The captains often share anecdotes that even locals don't know!
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon strolling through the city.
In the evening, you will have a choice of many restaurants. If you wish to treat yourself to an exceptional moment (optional), opt for a gastronomic restaurant where chefs elevate Slovenian cuisine with creativity and local products.
In the Footsteps of the Shepherds of Velika Planina
Start your morning in Kamnik, a charming medieval town nestled at the foot of the Alps, renowned for its picturesque streets, two castles and authentic atmosphere. Take time to stroll through the historic center, visit an old church or enjoy a coffee on the terrace while admiring the view of the surrounding peaks.
Then head towards the Kamniška Bistrica cable car station to reach Velika Planina, one of Europe's largest and best-preserved alpine plateaus. The ride up by cable car and then chairlift offers you breathtaking panoramas of the forests and alpine ridges.
On site, let yourself be seduced by the traditional cabins, a visit to the Preskar museum, tasting fresh cheeses from the shepherds and the numerous trails offering spectacular views of the Kamnik Alps. After lunch at an alpine inn or a picnic facing the mountains, enjoy the serenity of the plateau before heading back down to Logarska Dolina at the end of the day.
This day at Velika Planina promises you a complete immersion in Slovenian pastoral culture, between walks, ethnological discoveries, tastings and breathtaking panoramas, before returning to the hustle and bustle of Ljubljana for the evening.
Between Caves, Castles and Slovenian Forests
Leave Ljubljana in the morning and head towards Postojna. Start the day with a must-see visit to the famous Postojna Cave, a true underground masterpiece and one of Slovénie's most iconic attractions. Board the small train that takes you through a spectacular network of galleries, vast halls and impressive limestone formations. Admire the stalactites and stalagmites sculpted by nature over millennia and discover the unique fauna of the cave, including the mysterious "proteus", nicknamed the "baby dragon".
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where you can taste Slovenian specialties such as mushroom soup, "žlikrofi" (local ravioli) or game-based dishes.
After lunch, visit the fascinating Predjama Castle, an architectural masterpiece unique in the world. This medieval castle, perched on a cliff face and integrated into a cave, seems straight out of a fairy tale. A walk around the castle also offers the opportunity to appreciate the wild beauty of the surrounding nature, making this visit as enriching as it is inspiring.
End the day with a unique and memorable adventure: brown bear watching in their natural habitat. Accompanied by a passionate and experienced guide, you will be driven by jeep through a pristine forest to the observation point. After a short walk, you will settle into a wooden cabin discreetly nestled in nature. There, in absolute silence, you may have the chance to see these majestic animals moving freely in their environment. Although bear sightings are not guaranteed, the experience of this immersion into the heart of Slovenian nature, between serenity and wonder, will remain etched in your memory.
Between Legendary Horses and Mediterranean Charm
Embark on a unique day blending the elegance of Lipizzan horses and the discovery of Mediterranean charm in the coastal towns of Koper, Izola and Piran
Begin your day at the Lipica Stud Farm, the birthplace of the famous Lipizzan horses, known for their elegance and grace. Founded in 1580, this historic stud farm is one of the oldest in Europe. During your visit, discover the fascinating history of these emblematic horses, attend an equestrian demonstration (depending on the day's program) and explore the stables and vast meadows where Lipizzans roam freely.
Head next to the Slovene coast to explore Koper, a port city with a rich Venetian past. Stroll through the old town, where you can admire Tito Square, surrounded by historic buildings such as the Praetorian Palace and the Cathedral of the Assumption.
Visit Izola next, a former fishing village with authentic charm. Stroll along the harbor, explore the picturesque streets and enjoy the view of the Adriatic Sea.
End your day in the town of Piran, this Venetian gem, nestled on the shores of the Adriatic, is brimming with history and charm. Walk through its narrow streets, admire the colorful facades and explore iconic monuments such as Tartini Square, St. George's Cathedral, and the ramparts offering panoramic views of the sea.
The Emerald Route of the Julian Alps
From Postojna to Bled, this day takes you to discover the magnificent Vipava Valley, renowned for its rolling landscapes, lush vineyards and picturesque villages. Make a stop in Slap for a tasting of local wines, where you can discover the unique Zelen and Pinela grape varieties, then continue to the charming village of Vipava. Stroll through its narrow streets, discover its stone bridges and admire the source of the Vipava river, which springs forth in several arms in the heart of the village.
Your journey continues towards Kobarid. Don't miss a visit to the Kobarid Museum, which emotively traces the battles of the Isonzo front during the First World War. Take time to climb up to the memorial to Italian soldiers: perched on the heights, it offers a breathtaking panorama over the valley. To complete your discovery, take a walk to the Kozjak waterfall.
Continue then to Tolmin, famous for its spectacular gorges, a must-see site of the Triglav National Park. A walk through this impressive canyon takes you between rocky walls and turquoise waters: don't miss the Devil's Bridge, suspended 60 metres above the gorge, and the thermal spring nestled near the Zadlaščica river.
After Tolmin, experience something unique: board your vehicle on the train at Most na Soči for a panoramic crossing of valleys and tunnels to Bohinjska Bistrica. All that's left is to reach Bled, where the famous lake and the gentle beauty of the alpine landscapes will conclude this day full of discoveries and emotions.
Lake Bled, Living Postcard
Begin your discovery of Lake Bled by gaining some height. Climb up to the majestic Bled Castle, a thousand-year-old fortress perched 130 metres above the turquoise lake. From its ramparts, the panorama is simply breathtaking: the island, the shimmering lake and the peaks of the Julian Alps as a backdrop. The museum exhibitions will immerse you in the era when nobles from all over Europe fought over this strategic location.
For lunch, enjoy the castle restaurant with stunning views or try an establishment by the lakeside. For those who prefer to picnic, you will find many spaces by the lake to settle down peacefully.
In the afternoon, board a traditional "pletna" boat, these unique boats found only in Bled, propelled by oars by "pletnars" whose craftsmanship has been passed down from father to son since the 16th century. On Bled Island, climb the 99 steps (a lucky tradition!) up to the Church of the Assumption to ring the wishing bell – legend says your wish will come true.
For afternoon tea, we recommend the famous "kremšnita", an airy custard cream between two crispy pastry sheets, a recipe jealously guarded since 1953 by the Park Hotel bakery. The view of the lake in the background makes this local delicacy even more sublime.
In the evening, you can enjoy mountain trout in one of the many traditional restaurants.
Last moments in Slovénie at Bled
This is your last day in Bled, an opportunity to enjoy one last time the serenity and beauty of this enchanting place. Depending on your flight schedule, you can take a walk around the lake, rent a bike to explore the surroundings, or simply relax while admiring the landscape one last time.
If you have a bit more time, a quick visit to Vintgar Gorge, just a few kilometers away, will allow you to discover a spectacular canyon before leaving. Then, head to the airport, making sure to allow enough time to return your rental vehicle before taking off, your heart full of unforgettable memories of your stay in Slovénie.

La Slovénie est membre de l'Union européenne et de l'espace Schengen. Les ressortissants de l'EEE peuvent entrer en Slovénie avec un passeport ou une carte d'identité nationale en cours de validité.

Séjour touristique sans visa
Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen et de la Suisse n'ont aucune obligation de visa pour entrer et séjourner en Slovénie, conformément aux règles de libre circulation au sein de l'espace Schengen.
Les ressortissants canadiens bénéficient également d'une exemption de visa pour les séjours touristiques. Cette exemption permet un séjour pouvant aller jusqu'à 90 jours sur toute période de 180 jours dans l'espace Schengen dans son ensemble.
Les autorités peuvent demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour,
une réservation d'hébergement ou une adresse de résidence sur place.
Autorisation de voyage ETIAS
À compter de la mise en application du système européen d'information et d'autorisation concernant les voyages (ETIAS), les ressortissants canadiens ainsi que certains autres voyageurs exemptés de visa devront obtenir une autorisation de voyage préalable avant de se rendre en Slovénie et dans l'espace Schengen.
