On Bled Island, climb the 99 steps (a lucky tradition!) up to the Church of the Assumption to ring the wish bell – legend says your wish will come true.

For your snack, we recommend the famous "kremšnita", an airy pastry cream between two layers of crispy pastry, a recipe jealously guarded since 1953 by the Park Hotel bakery. The view of the lake in the background makes this local delicacy even more sublime.
