Welcome to Réunion!

From Saint Denis

Upon arrival at Saint Denis Roland Garros airport in the morning, your rental vehicle will be at your disposal before starting your self-drive tour towards Hell-Bourg.

To begin this trip in the best conditions, we suggest you spend your first two nights in the Salazie Cirque. This two-day stop will allow you to get your bearings gently, discover the surroundings during the day and gradually approach the trails we recommend for the rest of your stay.

On the road, you will cross the Salazie Cirque, known for its lush landscape and numerous waterfalls. You will be able to admire the Bridal Veil as well as the White Waterfall, two emblematic sites of this region in the East of Réunion.

The Salazie Cirque has two labeled villages: Hell-Bourg, listed among France's Most Beautiful Villages, and Grand-Ilet, labeled Creole Village.

Upon arrival, take time to stroll through the streets of Hell-Bourg and appreciate its beautiful Creole houses. We particularly recommend a guided tour of the village to discover its history and heritage.

For a first warm-up before the hikes of the following days, you can take the 3 Waterfalls trail, which starts directly from the village of Hell-Bourg.
