Discovery of Santo Domingo

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, a private driver will pick you up and take you to the Cueva de los 3 Ojos, where you will meet your English-speaking guide for a full day of private sightseeing in the Dominican capital.

The morning begins with the exploration of this open-air cave, famous for its three freshwater lagoons surrounded by spectacular rock formations and lush tropical vegetation — a fascinating place where nature and mystery intertwine.

The day continues in the Colonial Zone, a historic site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by your guide, you will stroll through the cobbled streets discovering must-see monuments such as the cathedral, the national pantheon, and many other witnesses to the rich historical past of Santo Domingo.

Lunch, included, will take place in a typical restaurant in the Colonial Zone, where you can enjoy local dishes in an authentic setting.

The afternoon holds a unique experience for you: a cable car ride to discover Santo Domingo from another perspective, enjoying a panoramic view of the city and its urban life.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards one of the most preserved treasures of the República Dominicana: Bahía de las Águilas.

At 8:30 AM, meet your private driver who will accompany you throughout this adventure, offering you personalized service and a serene journey.

You will depart for a journey of nearly 5 hours, punctuated by spectacular landscapes between mountains, rural areas and coastal panoramas, offering you a progressive immersion into the wild and authentic nature of the southwestern Dominican region.

Upon arrival, you will settle into your luxury glamping, a comfortable wooden cabin, located beachside, in the heart of nature. A peaceful, simple and beautiful place, ideal for rejuvenation.

Private Exceptional Day at Bahía de las Águilas

Wake up in the heart of nature and start your day with breakfast with your feet in the sand, facing the sea, in the idyllic setting of your beachfront glamping.

Around 10am, board a privatized speedboat, heading to the legendary Bahía de las Águilas beach, one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean, with its immaculate white sand, turquoise waters and preserved wild atmosphere.

Everything is set up for you to fully enjoy this privileged moment: tables, umbrellas and seafood-based meals await you directly on the beach, in a quiet corner just for you. A private excursion, at the soothing pace of the sea and sun.

You will also have the opportunity to do some snorkeling and discover the richness of the marine life in this protected area.

The return is at your convenience: enjoy the beach for as long as you wish. The captain will pick you up no later than 5pm to take you back to the glamping.

In the evening, a dinner organized with your hotel awaits you, to end this magical day under the stars.

Getaway to Barahona

After a last breakfast by the sea at your glamping, you leave Bahía de las Águilas to continue your adventure towards another gem of the southwest: Barahona a mountainous and lush region, renowned for its wild beauty.

Departure is scheduled between 10:30 am and 11 am, for approximately 2 hours of driving with your private driver. Along the way, the landscape evolves: from deserted beaches to verdant hills, the coastal road offers a spectacular view of this still little-known region.

Around 1 pm, you arrive at Villa Miriam, an enchanting place nestled in the heart of nature. This private estate offers you total immersion: swimming in natural river water pools, refreshing waterfalls and lush vegetation surround you for a unique moment of relaxation.

A lunch of fresh fish is served on site, in a simple and charming setting, in harmony with nature.

The afternoon continues peacefully at Villa Miriam, between swimming and rest.

At the end of the day, you will join your new accommodation, a comfortable 3-star hotel ideally located to explore the region.

Discovering Larimar: Treasure of Barahona

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you are picked up by your English-speaking guide for a half-day immersive experience dedicated to Larimar, this blue semi-precious stone, emblem of the Barahona region and unique in the world.

Your adventure begins on a local beach, where you will learn to search for Larimar fragments among the pebbles, an original and fun activity in the heart of nature.

Next, you will visit an artisanal workshop where you will discover the different stages of stone transformation, from raw to jewelry piece. This will be a privileged moment to understand local craftsmanship and meet the artisans.

The morning ends with a visit to the Larimar museum, which immerses you in the history, geology and legends surrounding this unique stone.

Around 1 PM, heading to Los Patos, a charming coastal village renowned for its crystalline river. A lunch based on fresh fish awaits you in a simple and authentic restaurant, by the riverside.

After the meal, you will have the opportunity to swim in the Los Patos river, famous for being one of the shortest in the world, but also one of the most refreshing!

The information below applies to travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to the Dominican Republic for tourism purposes. Entry requirements may change, so we recommend verifying information with official authorities before departure.

Passport

To enter the Dominican Republic, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay and must have at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages). However, it is recommended that your passport remain valid for at least six months after your entry date into the country.

Tourist stay without visa

Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada benefit from visa exemption for tourist stays in the Dominican Republic.

This exemption allows a stay of up to 30 days upon entry into the territory. An extension can be requested on site from the Dominican General Directorate of Migration, for a period of up to 60 additional days.

Authorities may also request:

  • an exit ticket from the territory (return or connecting flight),

  • proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,

  • an accommodation address in the country.

Tourist Card (E-Ticket)

Before your arrival, you must complete the online form E-Ticket República Dominicana, established by Dominican authorities. This digital document combines both immigration and customs procedures.

The form must be completed before departure and allows you to provide immigration services with the following information:

  • passport information

  • flight details

  • address of your first accommodation in the Dominican Republic

  • customs declaration

A QR code is generated upon completion and must be presented, in digital or printed format, when passing through immigration upon arrival and departure.

Health

No vaccines are mandatory to enter the Dominican Republic. However, certain vaccinations are recommended depending on the areas visited and the traveler's profile:

  • vaccination against typhoid fever and hepatitis A is commonly advised,

  • an antimalarial treatment may be recommended for stays in rural or isolated areas.

It is advised to consult a doctor or international vaccination center before departure.

Traveling with children

Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.

When a minor travels without one or both parents, a parental authorization for exit from the territory, accompanied by a copy of the absent parent(s)' passport, may be required by Dominican authorities.

In certain European countries, an exit authorization may also be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.

Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Concerned travelers should inquire with the embassy or consulate of the Dominican Republic in their country of residence.
