Welcome to Bergen!
Upon your arrival at Bergen airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transferred to your hotel. You begin your journey in Norvège. This first stage marks the starting point of your circuit in the heart of the landscapes of the country's west.

Bergen – Between Heritage and Breathtaking Panoramas
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a visit to the city of Bergen. During a 3-hour guided tour, you explore Bryggen, its UNESCO-listed historic district, Bergenhus Fortress (exterior), St. Mary's Church as well as the famous fish market.
In the afternoon, you take the funicular up to Mount Floen and enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its fjords.
Free time to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and stroll at your leisure.

Immersion in the orchards and Viking traditions
Breakfast then you head to Leikanger, a village in a lush setting, surrounded by orchards. Along the way, a stop allows you to observe the spectacular Kvinnafossen waterfall, which rises to 120 meters in height.
Once in Leikanger, you set off to discover the Strandavegen cultural trail, which immerses you in Viking history. For an authentic experience, you can also choose to visit the Henjatunet farm and taste local specialties such as lefse, cider and apple juice.

Trip to the heart of fjords and glaciers

Today, you head towards Balestrand, an iconic fjord village in western Norvège.
After a short stroll in Balestrand, you board a ferry for a crossing to Fjaerland, where fjords meet glaciers.
You visit the fascinating Glacier Museum, before exploring the book town.
You have free time to wander at your own pace and fully appreciate this peaceful setting.

A day of history and nature
Leikanger → Ornes
After breakfast at the hotel, you head towards Solvorn, a picturesque village located on the banks of the Lustrafjord.
You board the ferry to Ornes and set out to discover its wooden church dating from the 12th century, a true testament to Norwegian history.
Ornes → Hafslo
Return to Solvorn, then drive to Hafslo for check-in at your hotel.
In the afternoon, you will discover Tungestolen, gateway to the Jostedalsbreen glacier, before enjoying dinner with a view of the glacier.

Before heading back to Bergen, you will make a stop to visit the Borgund Stave church, a remarkable example of medieval architecture.

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and Canada traveling to Norway for a tourist stay. Entry rules may change, so we recommend verifying the information with the official authorities before your departure.
Passport or identity card
Norway is a member of the Schengen area. Nationals of the EEA and Switzerland can enter Norway with a valid passport or national identity card.
Canadian nationals must carry a valid passport. It is recommended that it be valid for at least three months beyond your planned return date and that it contains at least one blank page.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Canada are exempt from visa requirements for tourist stays in Norway.
Nationals of the EEA and Switzerland may stay in Norway without limitation of duration as tourists, provided they comply with the rules relating to freedom of movement of persons.
Canadian nationals may stay up to 90 days within a 180-day period in the Schengen area, including Norway. This duration applies to all Schengen countries combined and not to Norway alone.
ETIAS travel authorization
From the date of entry into force of the European travel information and authorization system (ETIAS), Canadian nationals will need to obtain this authorization before traveling to Norway. ETIAS will be completed online, will be valid for several years and will allow multiple stays in the Schengen area.
Nationals of the EEA and Switzerland are not subject to this requirement.
We recommend verifying the entry into force date of ETIAS with the official authorities before your departure.
Travel with children
Minors must be holders of their own valid travel document (passport or, for EEA nationals, national identity card).
In certain European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Affected travelers should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Norway in their country of residence.
