Get to know Everest and the highest peaks on Earth: Everest (8848 m), Lhotse (8501 m), Ama Dablam (6856 m), Pumori (7165 m) and Nuptse (7861 m). Discover Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Sherpas. One day dedicated to an excursion around Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. Sherpa villages are strung together like a Buddhist rosary. Once acclimatized, you climb Kala Pattar (5545 m), an unobstructed viewpoint overlooking Everest and the main peaks of the upper Khumbu. Return to Kathmandu to enjoy this mythical capital of the Himalaya for a few hours.
This emblematic trek immerses you in the heart of Sagarmatha National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, where glaciers, moraines and majestic peaks compose landscapes of breathtaking beauty. Along the way, you will discover Buddhist monasteries, prayer flags fluttering in the wind and the legendary hospitality of the Sherpas. Each day brings its share of spectacular panoramas and emotions, right up to the approach of Everest Base Camp, a true symbol of mountaineering worldwide.

Day-by-day itinerary
Welcome to Népal!
Welcome and assistance by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu. A short car ride takes you to your hotel where you can rest for a few moments.
Flight to Lukla and start of our trek.
The day starts early, with a short but spectacular flight to Lukla, the starting point of our trek. You observe the Langtang chains to Jugal Himal, passing through Rolwaling, Gaurisankar and Menlumtse, before your first glimpse of the Everest: the panorama is breathtaking.
Lukla → Phakding
You begin your trek at the gateway to Khumbu at the entrance to the village of Lukla. Throughout the day, many stops are planned to meet the locals, take photos and of course enjoy the landscape and the view of the multiple snow-capped peaks, reaching up to 6,000 m. You pass near the enormous Thado Kosi prayer stone (mani), then go around the numerous chortens and prayer wheels of Sano.
You have a free afternoon. Those who wish can climb up to a small Gompa, overlooking the village.
You gather for an aperitif by the fireside and evening meal.
Two nights in Namche to acclimatize.
Phakding → Namche
After breakfast, you walk to the village of Monjo. From there, you descend a few stone steps, cross a suspension bridge and, after a short climb, reach Jorshale - the entrance to Sagamartha National Park. You can view the 3D map and check out the information panels, while your guides take care of the trekking permits.
Continuing along the river, you cross through a wooded area, then a rocky one. You cross several suspension bridges, before climbing towards Top Danda, where you will see Everest for the first time. Then the climb becomes gradual until Namche(capital of Sherpa country).
Day 2 in Namche
The beginning of the day is dedicated to a short walk to acclimatize properly to the altitude. Free afternoon to enjoy the shops and cafés of Namche. While strolling around, your guide will take you to wonderful viewpoints and you will be able to admire the "rock stars" of the Himalayan world. Feast your eyes: towering over deep valleys, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Ama Dablam spread out before you.
Finally, if you feel fit enough, we can continue towards the lovely villages of Khumjungand Kundewhere a medical clinic and a school were able to be opened thanks to the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation.
Trek to Phortse
Namche → Phortse
After a considerably steeper section, you arrive at the village of Mong. The view of Thamserku to the Southeast is splendid. You begin a fairly steep descent to reach and cross the Dudh Kosi Nadi river on a metal footbridge at 3680m altitude. It is by a regular climb that you reach the village of Phortse at 3800m altitude.
Phortse is a magnificently situated village on a completely cultivated plateau, where each parcel of land is surrounded by dry stone walls.
Trek to Dingboche
Phortse → Pangboche
Slow and steady ascent in the Khumbu valley up to Pangboche. You enter the heart of upper Khumbu. The trail climbs steadily. To complete your acclimatization, it is better to progress slowly.
Lunch at Pangboche.
Pangboche → Dingboche
Steady climb with a few short steep sections. Superb views of the Kangtenga, Thamserku and Ama Dablam the "white lady", "Mother of the Sherpas". Arrival at the hamlet of Dingboche (4400m).
Acclimatization at Dingboche
Before moving forward, we will today rest our legs and acclimatize our body to the increasing altitude. An optional hike in the valley will be rewarding with enriching views, but it is important to relax today. However, we can climb a ridge located behind the village and see six of the world's highest peaks, including the Lhotse, the Makalu and the Cho Oyu.
Trek to Lobuche
Dingboche → Lobuche
A high altitude pasture rises gently in slope to the Thukla ridge, at the foot of Lobuche Peak. A final steep climb takes you to Lobuche. Before you, Nuptse, Pumori, Langtren display their gleaming peaks.
Trek to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp
Lobuche → Gorakshep
From Gorakshep, a trail takes the crest of the Khumbu glacier moraine over a long distance before descending onto the glacier itself to base camp. Along the route, facing the Nuptse wall and just above the Khumbu glacier, a monument has been erected in memory of climbers and Sherpas who died on Everest. At base camp itself, views of the Khumbu Icefall but not the summit of Everest. Return to Gorakshep.
From Lobuche, the trail leads to the Khumbu glacier moraine which must be climbed in zigzags. The ascent is difficult. The conical summit of Pumori appears in all its splendour to the north. The slope eases as the trail opens onto the large flat area of Gorakshep which has a few lodges and camping spots.
The ascent of Kalapatthar (5550 m) and descent to Pheriche
Kalapathar is the highest point of the Everest trek. The climb is not technical but the final section is difficult because of the altitude. The summit offers an exceptional panoramic view of Everest and other high peaks of the Khumbu: Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cholatse… and the Khumbu glacier. The view of Everest is closer here than on Gokyo Ri.
Kalapatthar → Pheriche
Return to Gorakshep for lunch. And after lunch, we descend towards Pheriche which takes us less than 5 hours.
Descent to Namche
Pheriche → Pangboche
Beautiful descent facing Ama Dablam. It descends slightly along a ledge above the tumultuous river. Lower down at Syomare, a superb staircase village. In the upper part of Pangboche, where there is a monastery dating from the 6th century.
Pangboche → Annapurna
After lunch, you start the trek. Today, you descend to a suspension bridge then climb slightly through the forest crossing the villages of Debuche, Tengboche and up toNamche Bazaar.
Trek to Lukla
Annapurna → Phakding
After breakfast, you head back to Lukla via a small mountain trail. You cross Banker and arrive at Phakding where you have lunch.
Phakding → Lukla
Still 3 hours of hiking to return to Lukla. You will finish your trek with a final climb with a positive elevation gain of 200 meters! On the way back, you can stop for a drink, possibly visit the Chaurikharka school and the Kyongma monastery.
It is then time to say goodbye to your trekking team before spending our last night in the mountains.
Return to Kathmandu

Passeport
Pour entrer au Népal, votre passeport doit être valide au minimum six mois après la date d'entrée dans le pays et comporter au moins deux pages vierges pour les tampons d'immigration.
Le document doit être en bon état (pas de pages détériorées, déchirées ou modifiées).
Visa touristique
Contrairement à certaines destinations, le Népal n'accorde pas d'exemption de visa aux ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen, de la Suisse et du Canada. Un visa touristique est obligatoire pour entrer sur le territoire.
Ce visa peut être obtenu de deux façons :
À l'arrivée (visa on arrival) : disponible aux principaux points d'entrée, notamment l'aéroport international de Tribhuvan à Katmandou et certains postes-frontières terrestres. Il est fortement recommandé de remplir le formulaire de demande en ligne avant le départ afin de faciliter les formalités sur place.
En ligne avant le départ : via le système officiel de visa en ligne du gouvernement népalais (online visa application), permettant d'obtenir une autorisation préalable à présenter à l'arrivée.
Les tarifs officiels sont les suivants :

30 jours : 50 USD
90 jours : 125 USD
Le paiement s'effectue généralement en espèces (USD, EUR ou autres devises acceptées) ou par carte bancaire selon les points d'entrée. Il est conseillé de prévoir des dollars américains en espèces pour le règlement sur place.
Les autorités peuvent également demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour.

Avant votre arrivée, il est recommandé de remplir le formulaire d'arrivée en ligne disponible sur le portail officiel du gouvernement népalais. Ce formulaire permet de renseigner les autorités d'immigration sur :

Une confirmation numérique ou un code de référence pourra être demandé lors du passage à l'immigration ou au comptoir de délivrance du visa à l'arrivée.
Permis spéciaux pour les zones de trekking
Certaines régions du Népal nécessitent des permis supplémentaires en plus du visa touristique :
le TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) : obligatoire pour la plupart des itinéraires de trekking,
les permis de parc national ou de zone de conservation (ex. : Sagarmatha pour l'Everest, Annapurna Conservation Area),
des permis de zone restreinte pour certaines destinations spécifiques comme le Mustang, le Dolpo ou le Manaslu.
Ces permis s'obtiennent généralement à Katmandou ou Pokhara, auprès des bureaux compétents.
Santé et vaccins
Aucun vaccin n'est obligatoire pour entrer au Népal, sauf en cas d'arrivée depuis un pays à risque de fièvre jaune. Toutefois, plusieurs vaccinations sont fortement recommandées par les autorités sanitaires :
hépatites A et B,
typhoïde,
diphtérie-tétanos-poliomyélite (DTP),
rage (notamment pour les séjours prolongés ou en zones reculées),
encéphalite japonaise (selon les zones et la saison).
Un traitement antipaludéen préventif peut être recommandé pour certaines régions de basse altitude (Teraï). Il est conseillé de consulter un médecin ou un centre de vaccination international au moins quatre à six semaines avant le départ.
Voyage avec des enfants
Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport valide couvrant la durée du séjour, ainsi que de leur propre visa touristique.
Dans certains pays européens, lorsqu'un mineur voyage sans l'un de ses parents, une autorisation de sortie du territoire peut être exigée selon la réglementation du pays de résidence.

Les conditions d'entrée peuvent varier selon la nationalité. Les voyageurs concernés doivent se renseigner auprès de l'ambassade ou du consulat du Népal de leur pays de résidence.
