A 10-day trip to Bosnia, between Sarajevo, Jajce, the Una valley, Livno and Mostar. You alternate between visits to historic city centers, mountain villages, national parks and time spent with local people. From the waterfalls of Jajce to the crystal-clear waters of the Una river, each stage reveals preserved landscapes and generous nature. First steps in Sarajevo!
Sarajevo International Airport → Sarajevo
After your arrival at Sarajevo international airport, your transfer takes you directly to your accommodation in the city.
You then have the rest of the day to discover Sarajevo at your own pace: stroll through the streets of the old town, enjoy a traditional Bosnian coffee or treat yourself to your first local dinner in a typical restaurant.

Sarajevo, Between History and Flavors
Sarajevo → Sarajevo
In the morning, departure for a walking discovery of the historic center of Sarajevo. You will explore the district of Baščaršija, with its cobbled streets, lively bazaars, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and the Sebilj fountain. This walk allows you to observe the city's main monuments and architecture, while exploring the multicultural dimension of its history.
Lunch is at a local restaurant, with the opportunity to enjoy various Bosnian specialties.
The afternoon is then dedicated to the activity of your choice from the following options:
Option 1: "Roses of Sarajevo" Tour
Participation in a 4-hour guided tour dedicated to the siege of Sarajevo between 1992 and 1995. In the company of a guide who lived through this period, you discover emblematic places such as the Tunnel of Hope and Sniper Alley. The minibus journey and tunnel entry are included, for an immersion in the city's recent history.
Option 2: Sarajevo Food & Craft Tour
A walk through some of Sarajevo's oldest streets, with a local guide. This route includes visits to old craft workshops and tastings of Bosnian sweet and savory specialties, including fresh baked goods. This tour combines historical discovery, traditions and local flavors in the heart of the old town.
Option 3: Traditional Cooking Class
Participation in a Bosnian cooking class featuring traditional recipes such as Sogan dolma, Japrak, Dolma and Bosnian pita, with vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Homemade juice is provided, and you enjoy a convivial atmosphere with appetizer, drinks, wine or beer included.
In the evening, free time for dinner in Sarajevo or to enjoy the city as you wish. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Central Bosnia: Sarajevo Jajce

After breakfast, early departure from Sarajevo heading towards Jajce.
First stop at Visoko to visit the Bosnian pyramids, this unique archaeological site where history and mystery intertwine.
The journey then continues towards Travnik, a city marked by Ottoman heritage, where you stop for a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, continue on towards Jajce, a city appreciated for the waterfalls of the Pliva river and its medieval fortress which overlooks the valley.
At the end of the day, a stroll through the old town of Jajce, marked by a peaceful atmosphere and rich in history, before a restful night on site.
This stage brings together culture, gastronomy and nature for a complete discovery of central Bosnie.

Jajce, Una Falls and Bihać
Jajce → Bihać
After breakfast in Jajce, you head towards Bihać, through beautiful green landscapes and the wooded hills of central Bosnie.
As you approach Bihać, you discover the Štrbački buk and Martin Brod waterfalls, true gems of the Una River national park. You enjoy viewpoints over the falls and visit traditional mills still in operation, witnesses to the region's rural heritage.
Lunch is planned at a local restaurant in Bihać, where you can taste regional specialties made with fresh fish from the Una River.
In the afternoon, you continue exploring the Una national park, renowned for its clear waters, waterfalls and unspoiled landscapes. Two activities to choose from:
Option 1: Rafting
Rafting descent on the Una River, with the option of choosing a calm course suitable for beginners or more technical rapids, depending on your preferences.
Option 2: Kayaking
Guided kayaking excursion, with itineraries accessible to all levels, for a full immersion in nature along the water.
In the evening, free time in Bihać: dinner at a local restaurant, a quiet walk around town or simply rest after this day full of discoveries and activities.

Wild Route from Bihać to Livno
Bihać → Livno
After your breakfast, departure from Bihać towards Livno, crossing the mountainous and unspoiled landscapes of northwestern Bosnia. The journey takes you into the heart of pristine nature, between lush valleys, dense forests and small villages with authentic charm.
Along the way, stop in Bosansko Grahovo for a coffee or a short walk in this quiet town, before continuing on.
As you approach Livno, lunch in the region, with the opportunity to taste local specialties, notably Livno cheese, appreciated for its flavor and traditional aging.
After your arrival in Livno, a small town with still discreet heritage, you set off for a stroll through the historic center. You discover old Ottoman residences, the Hajji Ahmed Dukatar Mosque as well as Austro-Hungarian buildings that recall the multicultural past of the region. The peaceful atmosphere invites wandering and contemplation.
Take time to explore the streets and enjoy a moment of relaxation on a terrace, with the mountains as a backdrop.
Overnight in Livno.
Wild Horses of Livno
After breakfast, departure for an outing dedicated to encountering wild horses living free on the high plateaus around Livno. Aboard a four-wheel-drive vehicle, you cross mountains, meadows and forests in the company of a passionate local guide, who shares with you the history of this herd, considered one of the most important in Europe. You observe the horses in their natural environment, in a peaceful and preserved atmosphere.
Lunch takes place in the mountains, in the heart of nature, around a meal prepared with local products, to extend this immersion in the region.
In mid-afternoon, return to Livno. This free time allows you to rest or take a quiet walk around your accommodation.
Evening option : tasting of local specialties in a cave or traditional farm. The Livno cheese aged in a cave is highlighted, accompanied by carefully selected Bosnian wines, for a gourmet and friendly experience at the end of the day.
Livno to Mostar: Scenic Route and Oriental Charm
Livno → Mostar
After your breakfast, departure from Livno heading to Mostar, crossing the mountainous and rolling landscapes of western Herzegovina.
Along the way, there is the possibility of stopping at a traditional inn to taste local specialties, such as roasted lamb or vegetarian dishes made with vegetables and cheeses from the region. You then continue your journey to Mostar, where you arrive in the afternoon.
Upon arrival, check-in to your accommodation and your first free discovery of the old town. You can stroll through the cobbled streets of the Ottoman quarter, admire the Stari Most, explore the lively bazaars and enjoy a Bosnian coffee on the terrace while observing local life.
In the evening, enjoy the atmosphere of Mostar at your own pace.

Mostar, Blagaj and Kravica
Start your day with a traditional Bosnian coffee, then set off to discover Mostar, an emblematic city of Hercegovina, known for its old Ottoman bridge, the Stari Most (Old Bridge of Mostar).
Take time to stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town, among artisanal shops, historic mosques and traditional houses.
You then head to Blagaj, a village nestled at the foot of a cliff, renowned for its tekija, a dervish lodge located on the banks of the Buna river spring. The peaceful setting is perfect for a lunch break on the terrace, by the water.
In the afternoon, several options are available to you:
Option 1: Excursion to Kravica Waterfalls
Set off for a half-day dedicated to the Kravica cascades, nestled in lush surroundings. In summer, enjoy swimming in clear, refreshing water.
Option 2: Bosnian Cooking Workshop
Participate in a culinary workshop to learn how to prepare traditional dishes with a local chef, in a friendly atmosphere centred on the flavours of Hercegovina.
Option 3: Guided Tour of Mostar
With a passionate guide, discover Mostar in depth: multicultural history, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Yugoslav architecture, as well as still visible traces of the recent conflict.
Option 4: Local Wine Tasting
Commented tasting of Herzegovinian wines, in a wine estate or cellar in town, to better understand the character of local grape varieties.
Option 5: Boat Trip on the Neretva
A moment of relaxation on the Neretva river, with a small boat trip departing from Mostar or its surroundings, to appreciate the city and its landscapes from the water.
The day ends with dinner at leisure and an evening at the pace of Mostar, among ancient stones bathed in light and the soft ambiance of the riverside.

Mostar, Lukomir and Sarajevo
Mostar → Sarajevo
After your breakfast, departure from Mostar towards Lukomir, via a scenic road that crosses the Bosnian mountains.
On the way, stop in Konjic to visit the famous Tito's bunker, a vast underground military complex built during the Cold War to shelter Marshal Tito and the Yugoslav government in case of nuclear attack. Transformed today into a contemporary art space, this singular place offers an experience marked by both history and a mysterious atmosphere.
The road then continues towards Lukomir, the highest village and one of the most isolated in Bosnia and Herzegovina, situated at over 1,500 meters altitude. This traditional hamlet, with its stone houses and slate roofs, offers an authentic and preserved atmosphere.
You spend the afternoon exploring the surroundings, enjoying the panoramas and observing the rural lifestyle of this mountain region.
At the end of the day, departure towards Sarajevo.

Passport
To enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay and contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Nationals of the European Union may also enter Bosnia and Herzegovina with a valid national identity card.
Tourist stay without a visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada benefit from a visa exemption for tourist stays.
This exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period on Bosnian territory.
Authorities may also request:
a proof of exit from the territory (return flight or onward connection),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of the stay,
an accommodation booking for the duration of your trip.
Registration with local authorities
Any traveler staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina must register with the local authorities within 24 hours of arrival.
In practice, this is usually done automatically by the hotel or accommodation provider. In the case of accommodation with a private individual (private rental, homestay), it is the responsibility of the host or the traveler themselves to register with the nearest police station.
Failure to comply with this requirement may cause difficulties when leaving the territory.
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport or identity card covering the duration of the stay.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Affected travelers should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in their country of residence.
