Leaving Nayapul, you will cross the dirt road that passes through Birethati to the settlement of Tikhedhunga. You will cross Ghorepani and reach the viewpoint of Poon Hill, at 3210 meters altitude. Poon hill offers a panoramic view of several mountains and snow-capped peaks such as Gangapurna mountain, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli mountain. After photographing these immense giants, you will follow the trail to reach the village of Ghandruk
Poon Hill can be crossed year-round, but May remains the ideal month.

Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Welcome to Nepal!
Welcome and assistance by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu.
A short car ride takes you to your hotel where you can rest for a while.

Heading to the Annapurnas! Trek: Tikhedhunga - Ulleri
After breakfast, you are transferred to the domestic airport for a 30-minute flight. During this journey, you enjoy beautiful views of the Manaslu and Annapurnas mountain ranges, offering a first glimpse of the Himalayan mountainous landscapes.
Upon your arrival, you are welcomed by your local guide and meet the team that will accompany you throughout your trek in Népal. You then head towards Tikhedhunga, the starting point of your mountain adventure.
You begin your trek from Tikhedhunga, taking the traditional Nepali stone stairs. This climb gradually leads you to the village of Ulleri, in the heart of Nepal's mountainous landscapes.

Trek Ulleri - Ghorepani
Today, you continue your trek towards Ghorepani. As you ascend, you observe the changes in climate and vegetation. The forest gradually becomes denser and more humid, revealing many flowering rhododendrons. Enjoy the tranquility of this region of Népal and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains that accompany your hike to Ghorepani.

Sunrise at PoonHill. Trek Ghandruk - Tadapani
You wake up in the middle of the night to climb the stairs leading to the Poon Hill viewpoint (3,210 m). You reach the summit just before sunrise, to enjoy a panorama of the mountains of the Himalaya. From this vantage point, you admire the massifs of the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhre, whose peaks gradually reveal themselves in the daylight.
You begin your descent along the hillside, through meadows where yaks graze peacefully, before reaching a rhododendron forest. With a bit of luck, you may observe different bird species as well as langurs, monkeys living in mountainous regions. Throughout your hike, many tea shops invite you to take a break and enjoy the tranquility of the places. Gradually, the rhododendrons give way to a pine forest, dotted with numerous waterfalls. After a long descent through these natural landscapes, you finally reach Tadapani, where you can rest after this day of trekking.

Trek Tadapani - Birethanti
After breakfast, you resume your trek through the forest, following a descending path through lush vegetation. Between the trees, you still enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You then reach Ghandruk, a traditional village where you discover the culture and art of the Gurung ethnic group. A true living museum, this village immerses you in the local traditions and heritage of this Népal community. After lunch in Ghandruk, you continue your descent towards Birethanti, along the Modi Khola river.

Route to Pokhara
You continue your hike for approximately 30 minutes to reach Nayapul, where your driver awaits you for the rest of your journey in Népal.
You head towards Pokhara, where your trekking adventure in Népal comes to an end. Take advantage of this final day to relax and discover the city at your own pace. Located in the heart of a vast subtropical valley, Pokhara has become an important tourist destination with the development of trekking in Népal. The valley is home to several lakes, including Phewa Lake, located southwest of the city, which is one of Pokhara's main attractions. You can enjoy a pleasant walk or bike ride along the lake, or choose to rent a small rowboat to navigate peacefully on its waters and appreciate the serenity of the place.

Passport
To enter Nepal, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry into the country and must have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist visa
Unlike some destinations, Nepal does not grant visa exemptions to nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada. A tourist visa is mandatory to enter the territory.
This visa can be obtained in two ways:
On arrival (visa on arrival): available at the main entry points, notably Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and certain land border crossings. It is strongly recommended to complete the application form online before departure to facilitate procedures on site.
Online before departure: via the official online visa system of the Nepalese government (online visa application), allowing you to obtain prior authorization to present upon arrival.
Official rates are as follows:
15 days: 30 USD
30 days: 50 USD
90 days: 125 USD
Payment is generally made in cash (USD, EUR, or other accepted currencies) or by credit card depending on the entry points. It is advisable to have US dollars in cash for payment on site.
The authorities may also request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return flight or onward journey),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Online arrival form
Before your arrival, it is recommended to complete the online arrival form available on the official portal of the Nepalese government. This form allows you to provide immigration authorities with:
passport information
flight details
the address of your first accommodation in Nepal
A digital confirmation or a reference code may be requested when passing through immigration or at the visa issuance counter upon arrival.
Special permits for trekking areas
Certain regions of Nepal require additional permits in addition to the tourist visa:
the TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System): mandatory for most trekking itineraries,
national park or conservation area permits (e.g., Sagarmatha for Everest, Annapurna Conservation Area),
restricted zone permits for certain specific destinations such as Mustang, Dolpo, or Manaslu.
These permits are generally obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara from the relevant offices.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Nepal, except in case of arrival from a country at risk of yellow fever. However, several vaccinations are strongly recommended by health authorities:
hepatitis A and B,
typhoid,
diphtheria-tetanus-poliomyelitis (DTP),
rabies (especially for extended stays or in remote areas),
Japanese encephalitis (depending on areas and season).
Preventive antimalarial treatment may be recommended for certain low-altitude regions (Terai). It is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination center at least four to six weeks before departure.
Traveling with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay, as well as their own tourist visa.
In certain European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization from the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.

Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Nepal in their country of residence.
