Embark on a charity trek to Everest Base Camp from May 14-30, 2026, a human and sporting adventure in the heart of the Himalayas. This unique journey combines self-improvement, mythical landscapes of Népal and solidarity commitment, benefiting the Women's Leadership Program 2026 of the Pasang Lhamu Foundation.
This program supports Nepalese women mountaineers, guides and athletes, continuing the legacy of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepalese woman to reach the summit of Everest. The trek will be led by Mr. Ang Dorje Sherpa, her brother.
Beyond the sporting challenge, this expedition is a true immersion in Sherpa culture. From Lukla to Everest Base Camp, you will cross mountain villages, Buddhist monasteries and the Sagarmatha National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Each stage offers an opportunity to interact with local communities and discover a way of life intimately linked to the world's highest peaks. By participating in this adventure, you contribute concretely to the training and empowerment of women who are shaping the future of mountaineering and mountain tourism in Népal.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
After check-in, you can rest or explore the surroundings.
In the evening, a brief briefing on the trek will be organized.

Full-day tour of Kathmandu
Today, you discover the major cultural sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including several UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as temples, stupas and historic locations. This day will also allow you to make final preparations before the trek.

Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,610 m) – 3 hours
Early in the morning, a scenic flight takes you to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region.

After landing, you begin your trek with an easy walk through villages and along the Dudh Koshi river to Phakding.

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 6 to 7 hours
Phakding → Namche
The trail follows the river and crosses several suspension bridges before entering the Sagarmatha National Park. A steady climb then leads you to Namche Bazaar, the main commercial center of the Everest region.

Acclimatization Day in Namche
To acclimatize to the altitude, you spend the day in Namche. Optional hikes allow you to reach viewpoints offering superb panoramic views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. You can also discover the local market and museums.

Trek to Deboche (3,820 m) – 6 to 7 hours
Namche → Deboche
The trail offers magnificent views of the Himalaya as you traverse rhododendron forests and pass through Tengboche, known for its famous monastery, before descending towards Deboche.

Trek to Dingboche (4,440 m) – 5 to 6 hours
Deboche → Dingboche
You continue your walk in the Imja valley, crossing traditional villages while gradually gaining altitude. The landscapes become more mineral as you approach Dingboche.

Acclimatization in Dingboche
This rest day allows your body to better adapt to the altitude. Optional hikes on the nearby ridges offer beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.

Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m) – 6 to 7 hours
Dingboche → Lobuche
The trail climbs along the Khumbu Glacier moraine and passes by several memorials dedicated to climbers. You reach Lobuche in a magnificent high mountain setting.

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Gorakshep (5,163 m) – 7 to 8 hours
Lobuche → Gorakshep
Today marks the highlight of the trek. You walk to Gorakshep before continuing to the Everest Base Camp, at the foot of the world's highest peak.
After enjoying this unique moment, you return to Gorakshep.

Trek to Monjo (2,835 m) – 8 to 9 hours
Deboche → Monjo
A long descent via Namche then along the Dudh Koshi river leads you to Monjo.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to Nepal for a tourist stay. Since entry rules may change, we recommend that you verify this information with the official authorities before your departure.
Passport
To enter Nepal, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry into the country and must have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist visa
Unlike some destinations, Nepal does not grant visa exemptions to nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada. A tourist visa is mandatory to enter the territory.
This visa can be obtained in two ways:
On arrival (visa on arrival): available at the main entry points, notably Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and certain land border crossings. It is strongly recommended to complete the application form online before departure to facilitate procedures on site.
Online before departure: via the official online visa system of the Nepalese government (online visa application), allowing you to obtain prior authorization to present upon arrival.

Payment is generally made in cash (USD, EUR, or other accepted currencies) or by credit card depending on the entry points. It is advisable to have US dollars in cash for payment on site.
The authorities may also request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return flight or onward journey),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Online arrival form
Before your arrival, it is recommended to complete the online arrival form available on the official portal of the Nepalese government. This form allows you to provide immigration authorities with:

A digital confirmation or a reference code may be requested when passing through immigration or at the visa issuance counter upon arrival.
Special permits for trekking areas
Certain regions of Nepal require additional permits in addition to the tourist visa:
the TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System): mandatory for most trekking itineraries,
national park or conservation area permits (e.g., Sagarmatha for Everest, Annapurna Conservation Area),
restricted zone permits for certain specific destinations such as Mustang, Dolpo, or Manaslu.
These permits are generally obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara from the relevant offices.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Nepal, except in case of arrival from a country at risk of yellow fever. However, several vaccinations are strongly recommended by health authorities:
hepatitis A and B,
typhoid,
diphtheria-tetanus-poliomyelitis (DTP),
rabies (especially for extended stays or in remote areas),
Japanese encephalitis (depending on areas and season).
Preventive antimalarial treatment may be recommended for certain low-altitude regions (Terai). It is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination center at least four to six weeks before departure.
Traveling with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay, as well as their own tourist visa.
In certain European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization from the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Nepal in their country of residence.
