Day-by-day itinerary

Discovery of Amman and road to Mai'in hot springs
Amman → Ma'in Hotsprings
A multi-millennial city, Amman blends History and modernity. History from the Roman era, witnessed by its theatre and citadel, modernity of its skyscrapers… The white city, spread over 19 hills, holds many treasures and a fascinating past.
The morning is devoted to a visit of old Amman, the ancient Philadelphia of the Roman Decapolis. Roman Theatre, Temple of Hercules, colonnades, museums testify to the city's rich past. The contrast is striking with new Amman, which also deserves some of your time.
Mid-day, it's time to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for an oasis of serenity in a naturally beautiful setting: the Ma'in Hot Springs. Just a stone's throw from the Dead Sea and at -264m altitude, people have been coming here since Roman times to relax, heal, and rejuvenate. An extraordinary site, varied and high-quality services, welcome to the wellness paradise!
Check-in at the hotel next to the hot springs.

By the Dead Sea
Ma'in Hotsprings → Dead sea
Free morning in Ma'in to enjoy the hot springs as you wish.
Then head towards the mythical Dead Sea. At the borders of Jordan, Israel and the West Bank, welcome to the lowest point on Earth! The place is ideal for relaxation, since apart from its exceptional altitude of -417m, its salinity is such (27.5%) that you float there! A unique experience in this immense body of water where no fish or even algae can survive. It is said that Cleopatra already came here for treatments to preserve her complexion. On its shores, a passage through the supposed sites of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Afternoon beach and night on the shores of the Dead Sea.

Heading to Petra
Dead sea → Petra
After breakfast, you head south towards the Pink City, an icon of the country, UNESCO World Heritage site, an exceptional and monumental place shrouded in mystery, which will amaze you.
Sometimes nicknamed the Lost City, built nearly 2000 years ago by the Nabataeans, "lost" to the West in the 14th century and then rediscovered in the early 19th century by a Swiss traveler disguised as an Arab claiming to want to honor the tomb of the prophet Aaron, Petra is filled with tombs, palaces, staircases, and cave temples…
The spectacle is everywhere and captivates stone lovers, history enthusiasts, artists, explorers and simple travelers alike. The magic works and emotions run high !
The rest of the day is dedicated to visiting the site and its most emblematic elements, such as the Sîq (narrow gorge between mountains) and the Khazneh. An English-speaking local guide accompanies you, and if you wish, you can ride a horse for part of the way.
At nightfall, nocturnal walk on the site, by candlelight.
Night at the hotel.

In the Heart of the Desert
After breakfast, head due south towards Wadi Rum, also called the Valley of the Moon. This enchanting and majestic desert made up of dunes and rock formations in ochre tones had already captivated Lawrence of Arabia in its time.
You get the full measure of this landscape of sand, needles and ridges during a 4x4 excursion.

Free day in Aqaba
Free day in Aqaba to rest, stroll around, enjoy the beach and the sea populated with colorful fish. For enthusiasts, possibility to organize snorkeling sessions or even diving trips, in this Red Sea so renowned for its marine life.
Night in Aqaba.

Return to Amman
Free morning to enjoy a few more moments on the beach by the Red Sea.
After lunch, it's time to head back towards Amman, via the Wadi Araba in the Jordan Valley.
Panoramic tour of the city's main sites, before dining at a typical upscale restaurant. Night at the hotel.
