After discovering the great witnesses of pharaonic history in Cairo, join Luxor, gateway to Upper Égypte. Here begins a unique experience: a cruise aboard a traditional dahabiya, a traditional boat that invites you to discover the Nile in a more intimate atmosphere and at the pace of navigation.
Along the river, ancient temples, villages and lush landscapes accompany your journey to Aswan, the final step of this Egyptian immersion.

Welcome to Cairo!
Upon your arrival in Cairo, you are welcomed and assisted by our local representative.
You are then transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Pyramids of Giza and Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, you set off to discover the Gizeh Plateau and its three pyramids: Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.
You will discover in particular the Khufu Pyramid, the largest of the three, as well as the Khafre Pyramid, which preserves part of its original casing at its base. Standing beside them is the Great Sphinx of Giza, 57 meters long and recognizable by its lion's body and human head.
You continue the day with a visit to the national museum, located in downtown Cairo.
Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens and Luxor Temple
You are transferred to the Cairo airport to take your flight to Louxor.
Upon your arrival, you discover the Valley of the Kings, which contains 62 tombs, with a visit to three tombs. You then continue towards the Valley of the Queens, which comprises 75 tombs, of which two tombs are scheduled for a visit.
You then proceed to the temple of Louxor, dedicated to the god Amon and built largely during the XVIIIth and XIXth dynasties. You discover in particular its pylon, its two large peristyle courts and its monumental colonnade.
A lunch in a typical restaurant is planned during the day.
Karnak and start of the Nile cruise towards El Hegz
After breakfast, you set off to discover the Karnak complex, a vast ensemble bringing together temples, chapels and pylons, developed over more than 2,000 years by successive pharaohs.
After the visit, you return to your boat for lunch on board, then begin your cruise on the Nile towards Esna, with the passage through the Esna lock.
Esna → El Hegz
In the afternoon, you continue your leisurely navigation towards El Hegz, where the boat makes a stop for the night.

El Kab, Temple of Edfu and Navigation towards Fawaza
El Hegz → El-Kab
This morning, you sail to El Kab, an ancient city surrounded by a raw brick enclosure. There you discover notably rock tombs carved into the mountainside.
You then resume navigation towards Edfou and have lunch on board.
Upon your arrival, you visit the temple dedicated to the god Horus of Behedet, represented by a solar disk with falcon wings.
Edfou → Fawaza
After the visit, you return to the boat and continue your navigation towards Fawaza, where you spend the night.
Hiking in Wadi El Chott and Speos of Horemheb
Fawaza → Horemheb
You will go on a 3-hour walk in the wadi el Chott to the speos of Horemheb. Along this environment of sand and sandstone, you discover petroglyphs depicting animals, boats and rulers.
After the hike, you return to your sailboat facing Gebel Silsileh. Those who do not wish to participate in the walk can remain on board.
📍Dinner and overnight at the foot of the speos of Horemheb, subject to mooring conditions.
From Gebel Silsileh to Maniha along the Nile
Horemheb → Farès
After breakfast, you set off to discover the quarries of Gebel Silsileh, whose stones were used to build the main temples of Égypte.
You then return to the boat and continue at a leisurely pace towards Farès. Upon arrival, you disembark for a walk through the newly developed lands in the desert, where mango trees, banana trees and lemon trees are cultivated.
You also discover the remains of the Ptolemaic temple of Ras-Ras, which houses a representation of the god Bes.
Farès → Maniha
You finally return on board for a short cruise to Maniha, your overnight stop.
Kom Ombo, Daraw Market and Cruise to Aswan
Maniha → Kom Ombo
You start the day with a morning cruise to Kom Ombo, where you discover the temple of Sobek and Haroëris, characterized by its symmetrical architecture and walls adorned with reliefs.
You then continue to Daraw, a village located about forty kilometers north of Aswan, where you stroll through its market and various product stalls.
Philae Temple and Aswan flight to Cairo
After breakfast, you disembark a few kilometers from the port of Assouan to discover the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Located on an island south of Assouan, the sanctuary is distinguished notably by its bas-reliefs, frescoes and capitals.
After lunch, you head to Assouan airport to take your flight to Cairo.
Upon arrival in the capital, you are transferred to your hotel located near the airport.

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to Egypt for a tourist stay. As entry requirements may change, we recommend verifying the information with the official authorities before your departure.
Passport
To enter Egypt, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months beyond your entry date and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps and visa affixing.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist Visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada are required to obtain a visa to enter Egypt. Several options are available:
E-visa (electronic visa): You can apply online before departure through the official portal of the Egyptian authorities. This visa is generally granted for a tourist stay of up to 30 days and can be single-entry or multiple-entry depending on the option selected.
Visa on arrival: Available at most Egyptian international airports (Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, etc.), it permits a stay of up to 30 days. Its issuance is subject to payment of fees in foreign currency (generally in US dollars or euros).
The authorities may also require:
an outbound ticket (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
a hotel booking confirmation for the duration of your trip.
Health and Vaccinations
No vaccination is mandatory to enter Egypt from the EEA, Switzerland, or Canada under normal conditions. However, certain vaccinations are recommended:
routine vaccinations up to date (diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles),
hepatitis A and hepatitis B,
typhoid, particularly if traveling outside the main tourist areas.
It is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination center at least four to six weeks before departure.
Traveling with Children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay as well as a valid visa.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other Nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the Embassy or Consulate of Egypt in their country of residence.
