Between Tango, Jungle and Andes – The Treasures of Northern Argentina

Upon your arrival at Ezeiza international airport, you are welcomed before heading to Buenos Aires by private transfer. You settle in at Telmho Hotel Boutique, where your stay in Argentine begins.

Begin your discovery of Buenos Aires at the Plaza de Mayo. With your guide, retrace the major stages of Argentine independence and political history, facing the Casa Rosada, the colonial Cabildo and the cathedral. Continue on foot along the Avenida de Mayo to the National Congress, passing by the Belle Époque-style cafés that line the avenue.

Then head to San Telmo, one of the capital's oldest neighborhoods. Among cobblestone streets and colonial houses, discover antique shops, the covered market and artists' studios. The walk also takes you to the Plaza Dorrego, where tango culture animates the life of the neighborhood.

Take local transport to reach La Boca and walk through Caminito, among colorful houses, tango dancers and murals. Your guide will tell you the working-class history of the neighborhood, marked by Italian immigration, as well as its residents' attachment to the Boca Juniors club.

Near Buenos Aires, you discover the Paraná Delta, a landscape of islands, forests and river channels. Here, travel is by water and houses are nestled among the trees, along the riverbanks.

You embark on a boat ride through the delta. During navigation, you observe the landscapes of the islands, fishermen and colorful houses on stilts. Herons may also be spotted along the water's edge.

The delta is home to many migratory birds and aquatic plants, as well as capybaras and some caimans. This discovery allows you to experience an environment where the lives of inhabitants remain closely linked to the rivers and nature.

You will discover the Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side, a set of 275 waterfalls. The lower and upper walkways offer different viewpoints to observe the falls and enjoy their natural environment.

You visit the interpretation center, then take the paths that lead to the Dos Hermanas, Bossetti, Escondido, Unión and San Martín waterfalls. Along the way, you discover the multiple facets of the site.

The visit continues on board the Tren de la Selva to reach the Garganta del Diablo. From the walkways, you observe thousands of liters of water rushing down every second into the río Iguazú.

You return to Puerto Iguazú in the late afternoon.

Your English-speaking private guide meets you at your hotel to take you to the Iguazu National Park, in Brazil. The journey takes you through dense vegetation until you reach the park entrance.

Before reaching the falls, you can choose to make a detour to the bird park.

There, you take the panoramic trail built along the falls. The walk gradually reveals the cascades that succeed one another above the gorge. From the Brazilian side, you enjoy an overview of Iguazu Falls.

As you progress, the roar of the water intensifies and spray accompanies your steps. The viewpoints of the cascades, rainbows and vegetation invite you to stop to observe and photograph the landscape.

You continue until the last footbridge, which brings you closer to the falls. Surrounded by water spray and the sound of the cascades, you finish the visit by grasping the magnitude of their power.

With your English-speaking guide, you dedicate two days to discovering Northwestern Argentina. Departing from Salta, you cross wild valleys, multicolored mountains and Andean villages, through landscapes that change as you travel.

You pass through San Salvador de Jujuy, then Purmamarca, before continuing towards Tilcara and the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Each stop allows you to discover Andean traditions and the pre-Columbian heritage that mark the region.

Your day in Buenos Aires begins in the Recoleta neighborhood. You visit its famous cemetery, where many Argentine personalities rest, including Eva Perón. Between sculpted mausoleums and silent pathways, you discover a place full of history.

Nearby, the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar reveals its white facade with colonial inspiration. Continue with a stroll through the gardens, then settle on the terrace at Café La Biela, once frequented by writers and artists.

Late in the morning, head to Palermo, with its more bohemian and contemporary character. For lunch, it's off to Palermo Soho, where traditional parrillas and fusion cuisine restaurants stand side by side. You then explore its lively streets, among independent fashion boutiques, urban art murals, vintage decoration and artisanal addresses.

As night falls, head to Piazzolla Tango, housed in a former Art Nouveau theater. You savor an Argentine-flavored dinner accompanied by wine, while the show unfolds on stage.

To the sound of the bandoneon, violins and singing, the dancers bring to life the emotions of tango. This evening pays tribute to Astor Piazzolla, a figure of modern tango, and extends your discovery of porteño culture.

Your trip to Argentina is coming to an end. After the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires and the discovery of the Iguazú Falls, it's time to head back to France.
