Thailand can be visited all year round, but some regions are best during certain seasons:

• The North: best visited during the hot season from March to June and the cool season from November to February. Avoid the rainy season between July and October.

• The Central region: ideal between December and February. The rainy season is from June to September, and the hot season peaks in May–June, with temperatures reaching 40°C.

• The Gulf islands: enjoy the beautiful beaches of Koh Samui or Koh Phangan between January and March and again from late June to September. Avoid November and December due to heavy rainfall.

• The West Coast: best visited from mid-November to May (dry season). Avoid June to October, which is the rainy season.
