The Three camels lodge

The "Three Camel Lodge" was built in 2002 to serve as a base for the exploration of the Gurvan Saikhan National Park. It's located 100 kilometres (62,14 miles) North Dalanzadgad. From the camp, the Bayanzag cliffs and the area of canyons (3-hours journey towards South) are easily reachable. It's the first luxury camp built in Mongolia.

Infrastructures

The lodge claims itself to be ecological, it uses the solar and wind powered energies to have electricity. Local craftsmen designed the roofs of the main building according to the rules of the traditional Mongolian Buddhist architecture, without using a single nail.

The camp has 40 thoroughly decorated double yurts, mixing Mongolian traditional culture and modern comfort. Water closet and showers are at the service of the customers in the central building.

20 yurts are categorized "deluxe", they have notably a king size bed and a private bathroom. The restaurant proposes an occidental and regional high quality cooking. You'll also find on the spot a bar that serves beers, wines, cocktails, etc.

Services

  • Cultural show every evening
  • Massages made by professional massage therapists
  • Library with many enthralling books about the local culture
  • Local crafts shop
  • Entertainment room with television and games

Still today, the Three Camels Lodge remains an example of quality when it comes to infrastructures as well as the service. The prices measure up to the services.
