Ketapang - Nomadays
Ketapang

Ketapang , at the eastern tip of Java island, is a small harbour locality adjacent to the town of Banyuwangi. Although it doesn’t offer much interest for the visitors, it is often a necessary stop-over for trekkers on the way from Bali to Kawah Ijen or on the way back. You might have to stay overnight in order to get on an early morning ferry boat.

Several accommodations are available including Ketapang Indah Hotel, a charming property with rooms and bungalows near the port.

The ferry crossing between Bali and Gilimanuk takes 30 to 45 minutes.
