Victoria Falls, Hwange and Okavango Delta

Breakfast and lunch on the flight.

Arrival at Victoria Falls in early afternoon, customs formalities then baggage collection and welcome by your local English-speaking guide.

Departure aboard your all-terrain vehicle heading to Hwange National Park, which represents the largest Zimbabwean reserve and one of the 10 largest parks on the African continent: it is home to over 100 species of mammals and 450 species of birds.

Installation at the camp for 2 consecutive nights.

In the evening, you will have plenty of opportunity to observe wildlife coming to drink at the rest camp's watering point.

After breakfast, departure towards Botswana and Chobé National Park, renowned for its sublime sunsets and magnificent landscapes composed mainly of marshes, flooded plains, dried-up lakes… This is where you can observe the largest concentration of African elephants with around 45,000 pachyderms inhabiting the park.

Check-in at the lodge for 2 consecutive nights. Free time to fully enjoy this exceptional natural environment, before setting off on your first safari which will allow you to discover these incredible landscapes and scenes of life!

Route towards the Caprivi Strip, a narrow corridor stretching 450 km between Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Bathed by the Okavango, Zambezi and Chobe rivers, and shaped by a tropical climate, the land prospers here more than elsewhere: Caprivians are renowned for being farmers, herders and fishermen. During your journey, you will make numerous stops in authentic villages to meet local people going about their daily tasks.

Continuation to the Okavango River, which is one of the rare rivers in the world that never reaches the sea! Due to its slow flow, it branches into countless small arms to form a unique inland delta in the world… a refuge for birds, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, elephants, buffalo and lions. Here, the savanna organizes a magnificent opera on the stage of the river!

After breakfast, departure for a photo safari in the heart of the Mahango Game Reserve to discover exceptional wildlife! Here banks, savannas and dense forests succeed one another, hosting several thousand elephants, buffalo, hippopotamuses, antelopes, lions and leopards. You will find beautiful specimens of baobabs or large trees often accompanied by giant termite mounds. To observe for example many rare antelope species such as the black sable antelope, but also the roan antelope, and the sitatunga.

Continuation of the day with a photo safari aboard a mokoro (traditional pirogue) during which you will explore the lagoons and clear waters of the Okavango River: with its dreamlike African scenery, the variety of its sublime landscapes and the extraordinary richness of its wildlife, the region offers unforgettable moments!

After breakfast, departure towards Maun, a city located in the heart of the African savanna and one of Africa's best-preserved natural areas: it is the gateway to discovering the fabulous Okavango Delta. It is the world's largest endorheic delta… The Okavango River, 1,300 km long, abruptly suspends its course in northwestern Botswana, in the vast Kalahari Desert plain, irrigating nearly 15,000 km² of it.

Arrival in Maun in mid-afternoon, check-in at the camp for 2 consecutive nights.

Free time to relax or take advantage of the various optional activities available on site (helicopter or airplane flights over the delta...).

You will set off on a photo safari by canoe aboard a mokoro (traditional pirogue) for a full day to explore the countless wonders of the Okavango Delta and appreciate its lush landscapes. A truly magical world then unfolds before you, alternating between lagoons, channels, islets, forest and savanna, in a sumptuous environment populated by numerous animal species and myriads of birds.

Stop on one of the islands that make up the delta, then a walking tour to discover the birdlife, but also the buffalo, elephants and hippopotamuses that frequent the area! Lunch.

Resume navigation aboard your mokoro in the middle of this veritable aquatic labyrinth made of narrow channels, and at the heart of teeming wildlife!

Road heading towards the Pan Makgadikgadi, a dried-up lake covering an area of 12,000 km² that was considered one of the largest salt lakes in the world. 200,000 years ago, this territory was covered by one of Africa's largest lakes! Even today, archaeological remains of very ancient settlements can be found on the historic shorelines.

Along the way, a stop in front of thousand-year-old baobabs, to discover these wonderful specimens that nature offers us…

Arrival at Nata and check-in at the camp.

Then discovery of the Nata sanctuary allowing you to observe migratory pelicans and pink flamingos (depending on the season) as well as the grandiose landscapes of the Makgadikgadi pan. You will witness a sumptuous sunset from an observation point.

Road to Victoria Falls where adventure reaches its peak: this is undoubtedly one of Africa's most fabulous spectacles and one of the most exceptional sites in the world. Here, the waters of the Zambezi plunge into the void with a deafening roar. Arrival in Victoria late morning with lunch at leisure.

Visit to Victoria Falls to appreciate this exceptional spectacle: plunging over approximately 1700 metres wide and reaching up to 108 metres in height, they form the natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Optional (to be paid on site): sunset cruise.
