This trek takes you deep into the jungle of Kerinci Seblat National Park, home to some of the last Sumatran tigers. Your chances of spotting one are admittedly very slim, but the adventure is well worth it, as trekking along ridge trails, crossing streams, passing incredible waterfalls and even diving into the magnificent turquoise waters of Lake Kaco, the sheer beauty of wild nature will take your breath away!
You will in any case spot gibbons, hornbills and many other varieties of birds and wildlife. If you are very lucky, you may even encounter bears and Sumatran tigers, but you are guaranteed to spot their tracks or claw marks, signs of their recent passage.

On the road for adventure
From Lempur
Early in the morning, you begin your trek through a traditional vegetable growing area, where cinnamon, bamboo and rattan are sustainably exploited by the villagers.
As you cross the Manjuto river (shallow), you reach the primary forest, which marks the border of the Kerinci Seblat national park.
Hiking 3-4h
In the Heart of the Jungle
You then continue your hike towards the Lintang Hill, where you will spend your first night under canvas. « Bukit Lintang » is indeed a place where a wide variety of wild animals roam, such as wild boar, the Malaysian tapir, numerous deer and of course the Sumatran tiger.
On the other side of the hill, you observe and listen to the morning calls of gibbons and hornbills. Then, your guide helps you spot traces of tigers or tapirs.
After approximately 5 hours of hiking, you reach a nameless waterfall, on the edge of which you will spend the night.
Take advantage of its fresh water to bathe in the natural pool carved into the rock. Opportunity to continue exploring the surrounding equatorial forest.

In Search of the Lost Tiger
Breakfast, by the side of a bubbling waterfall, is delightfully accompanied by bird songs and puts you in a good mood to continue your adventures in the jungle.
You resume your walk through the jungle towards Bukit Lumut, a high-altitude area covered in moss and often shrouded in mist.
It is also during this day that you will attempt to approach the famous Sumatran tiger (in any case, you will have the opportunity to spot many characteristic paw prints).

An aquarium in the forest
Bukit Lintang → Lac Kako
You continue your trek through lush and pristine jungle, then reach Lake Kaco, whose waters are an almost phosphorescent blue! It's a true aquarium in the forest. A well-deserved swim, surrounded by many exotic fish and some freshwater crabs.
This natural pool is fed by a spring. Camp set up by the lakeside.
Night walk to track civets, flying squirrels and some tree frogs.
Hiking 4-5 hours
Return to the Valley
Lac Kako → Lempur
The morning is free, then you head back for approximately 3 hours of walking, searching for birds and animals, while making your way towards civilization.
You will notably take a break at the Siluang Bersisik Emas waterfall, then finish your trek through sumptuous rice fields before reaching Lempur.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

- More than 60 days before departure: 40% of the total price (deposit retained)
- Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total price
- Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total price

Passport
To enter Indonesia, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your entry date and must contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa
Depending on your nationality, you may be eligible for a visa exemption for tourist stays in Indonesia. Entry requirements vary by nationality and should be verified with the Indonesian embassy or consulate of your country of residence.
The authorities may also request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Formalities on arrival
Before your arrival, it is recommended to complete the online arrival declaration via the official Indonesian customs and immigration portal (e-CD, Electronic Customs Declaration).
This form allows you to transmit to the authorities certain information necessary for entry into the territory:

flight details and itinerary
address of first accommodation in Indonesia
declaration of goods and currency carried
A confirmation QR code may be requested when passing through customs and immigration controls.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Indonesia, except in case of transit through a country at risk of yellow fever, in which case an international vaccination certificate may be required.
As a precaution, it is advisable to consult a doctor or vaccination center before departure. Vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and rabies are commonly recommended for stays in Indonesia. Antimalarial treatment may also be recommended depending on the regions visited (particularly outside Bali and major cities).
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
In some countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to exit the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.

Entry conditions vary depending on nationality. Travelers should consult the Indonesian embassy or consulate of their country of residence for specific requirements.
