Both young and old will find happiness on this journey combining adventure, jungle, cave, swimming, observation of tropical animals and rest in the sun, in a country full of natural treasures still preserved from mass tourism.
Awakening the Indiana Jones sleeping within you, it's sometimes on foot, sometimes by kayak or zip-line that you will explore the depths of the Mesoamerican forest, meeting millennial Mayan archaeological sites, refreshing waterfalls and mysterious caves shaped by underground rivers.
A beautiful beach stop along the great beaches of southern Belize will then invite you to relax in the sun, in a laid-back atmosphere where time seems suspended, far from the hustle and bustle of more frequented destinations.
You will finish like a fish in water discovering the coral reef off the island of Ambergris Caye, a true underwater jewel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, where nurse sharks, sea turtles and multicolored fish roam freely in crystalline waters.

You land today at Belize city airport where one of our drivers awaits you to welcome you and drive you to the San Ignacio region, in the west of the country.
Crossing landscapes of plantations and lush hills, our driver can stop you to discover along the way, if you wish, a howler monkey protection program in their natural habitat, near the village of Burrell Boom.
San Ignacio Valley – Xunantunich Site and Kayaking on the Mopan River – San Ignacio
This morning you'll set off in a small shared minibus to visit the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. Consisting mainly of two large pyramids, this site offers stunning panoramic views.
The adventure continues with a kayak descent down part of the Mopan River.

San Ignacio Valley – Depths of Actun Tunichil Muknal – San Ignacio
A small collective minibus will pick you up this morning to take you to the heart of the depths of the ATM cave (for Actun Tunichil Muknal, the most famous in the country. To discover this unique wonder in the world, you will need to swim, climb a little, walk but also scramble through this underground world, known as Xibalbá by the Mayas. This cave of several kilometers contains remains of offerings, pottery as well as skeletons of human sacrifices dating from the 9th century. Be careful, a good physical condition is imperative for this visit.

Rest in the San Ignacio Valley
Free day in San Ignacio to enjoy the nature and tranquility of the place as well as the various activities offered on site (bird watching tour, horseback riding, kayaking, hiking…). Possibility to visit the Cahal Pech Maya site, an iguana protection program or a small cocoa farm.

Today you cross the border into Guatemala in a private vehicle to reach the Mayan site of Yaxhá, lost in beautiful tropical vegetation.
Flores Peninsula – Tikal Mayan Site – Flores Peninsula
This day is dedicated to visiting the flagship site of Mayan civilization, Tikal. This ancient city with its spectacular temples and pyramids is a little gem in the heart of the jungle. Accompanied by a guide, you will also spot various small tropical animals such as Agoutis, Coatis, monkeys and toucans.

Flores Peninsula – Southern Beaches of Belize
Flores → Placencia
Beyond its long stretches of sand, Placencia is an excellent starting point for exploring the many islets of the South Water Caye and Gladden Split archipelagos.

Discovery of the lively village of San Pedro and relaxation by the sea.

A driver picks you up this morning to take you to the Bocawina reserve where you can experience various zip-lining courses, canyoning, guided hiking and many other activities.
Your route then continues to the Belize city pier, from which you take a boat crossing (not included) to Ambergris Caye island, the largest of the cayes.

Free days to enjoy the sun and marine life, an opportunity to go diving in the Hol Chan marine reserves, Bacalar Chico or Shark Ray Alley. Swimming in the heart of the coral reef among turtles, parrotfish and nurse sharks is an extraordinary experience.

Passeport
Pour entrer au Belize, votre passeport doit être valide au minimum six mois après la date d'entrée dans le pays et comporter au moins une page vierge pour les tampons d'immigration.

Séjour touristique sans visa
Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen, de la Suisse et du Canada bénéficient d'une exemption de visa pour les séjours touristiques au Belize.
À ce jour, cette exemption permet un séjour initial pouvant aller jusqu'à 30 jours lors de l'entrée sur le territoire. Une prolongation du séjour peut généralement être demandée sur place auprès du département de l'Immigration du Belize, pour une durée maximale totale de 90 jours par an.
Les autorités peuvent également demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour.
Taxe touristique à l'arrivée
Une taxe touristique est perçue à l'entrée au Belize. Son montant peut varier selon le mode d'entrée dans le pays (voie aérienne ou terrestre). Cette taxe est généralement incluse dans le billet d'avion pour les voyageurs arrivant par voie aérienne, mais peut être à régler séparément pour les arrivées par voie terrestre.
Il est conseillé de se renseigner auprès de votre transporteur ou des autorités belizéennes pour connaître le montant exact applicable au moment de votre voyage.
Santé
Aucun vaccin n'est obligatoire pour entrer au Belize pour les voyageurs en provenance de l'EEE, de la Suisse ou du Canada, sauf en cas d'arrivée depuis un pays à risque de fièvre jaune, où un certificat de vaccination contre la fièvre jaune peut être exigé.
À titre préventif, les autorités sanitaires recommandent notamment :
la vaccination contre l'hépatite A et la typhoïde,
des précautions contre le paludisme, présent dans certaines zones rurales du pays,
des mesures de protection contre les arboviroses (dengue, chikungunya, Zika), transmises par les moustiques.
Il est recommandé de consulter un médecin ou un centre de vaccination international avant le départ.
Voyage avec des enfants
Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport valide couvrant la durée du séjour.
Dans certains pays européens, lorsqu'un mineur voyage sans l'un de ses parents, une autorisation de sortie du territoire peut être exigée selon la réglementation du pays de résidence.
