Windhoek
Arrival in Windhoek, administrative, judicial and economic capital. Welcome by your professional English-speaking guide and explanation of the itinerary. Windhoek has retained its German heritage to this day, as evidenced by the names of its streets and its architecture. Windhoek offers a friendly atmosphere, with modern hotels and shopping centers. You will find a mix of cultures that represents the image of Namibie today. Small by African standards, Windhoek is surprisingly clean, quiet and provincial.

Kalahari
Shortly after breakfast, you will head south towards a town called Mariental. After a journey of approximately three hours, you will reach the Kalahari Desert and settle into your lodge. It is in the Kalahari region that the most extreme climate variations are observed. While temperatures of 35°C are common in summer and can easily reach 45°C, winter in the Kalahari is characterized by significant temperature fluctuations. It is not uncommon for temperatures to drop below 0°C at night, while reaching around 25°C during the day. Thanks to its relatively abundant rainfall, the Kalahari has very diverse flora. The San (Bushmen), who have lived in the Kalahari for centuries, know more than 1,000 useful plants. The fauna is also abundant. You will depart for your first safari in an open 4x4 from the lodge until sunset.
Solitaire

Today, you will set off to discover another desert: the Namib Desert. Counting among the oldest and most vast deserts in the world, the Namib extends inland from the Atlantic Ocean, covering a large part of Namibia as well as certain regions of Angola and South Africa. This wild and arid region is home to a surprising number of plants and animals, some of which are found nowhere else in the world. The Namib Desert is home to some of the highest sand dunes in the world (over 300 m). It has around 3,500 plant species, nearly half of which are endemic. Strange plants, innovative insects and mammals with their own cooling systems have evolved to survive here.
After your arrival and check-in at the lodge, you will be able to visit Elim Dune and Sesriem Canyon.
The next day, you will be able to discover the Sossusvlei and Deadvlei dunes.
Swakopmund
Swakopmund, a popular coastal city, is today's destination, where the end of the desert and the ocean meet, creating a wonderful landscape. Swakopmund is the capital of the Erongo region and has approximately 34,000 inhabitants. Swakopmund is mainly used as a holiday destination, which makes it important for tourism. Swakopmund is known as the center of activity in Namibie. Nowhere else in the country will the traveler find such a range of activities. Swakopmund has countless guesthouses, bed & breakfasts, hotels and independent accommodations.
You will find a multitude of optional activities, such as Sandwich Harbour, boat cruises, scenic flights, quad biking and much more.
Twyfelfontein
We are now heading to Damaraland, on the road to Twyfelfontein. Damaraland is characterized by rocky and rugged landscapes of wild and fascinating beauty. This region is inhabited by the Damara-speaking people, hence the former name of "Damaraland", which is now used only for tourism and as a geographical classification. Temperatures there are very high, reaching up to 40°C. Annual rainfall is low, or even non-existent in some years. Many dried-up riverbeds wind through the region, transforming into torrential rivers within hours after heavy rainfall. The flora and fauna of the region have perfectly adapted to the harsh climate, high temperatures and persistent drought. Desert elephants are found there, whose elongated limbs and wider soles allow them to better resist the extreme conditions of the rocky and sandy desert, and to traverse kilometers of dried riverbeds in search of water. Desert lions, critically endangered, have also managed to adapt to the arid climate. Damaraland is home to many endemic desert plants, such as the Euphorbia Virosa, poisonous but photogenic, and the ancient Welwitshia Mirabilis. Upon arrival, depending on your arrival time or perhaps the next morning, we will visit the rock engravings dating back thousands of years, with optional activities also available at your lodge.
Etosha National Park
Twyfelfontein → Parc national d'Etosha
Continue safaris in the park, visiting different water points, sometimes to the east, sometimes to the west. You will notably pass through Pan, which means "Place of dried water", a large basin of 5,000 km². This white depression is the place of mirages and encounters with herds. You may have the chance to spot a cheetah…

Etosha National Park (Namutoni Resort)
Early in the morning, we will head towards the eastern part of the park to reach the Namutoni Resort. As in the rest of Namibia, the climate in this region is characterized by an annual alternation between the rainy season and the dry season. Between April and September, it hardly rains and animals are forced to move towards natural or artificial water points. During this period, they form large herds that remain confined to certain specific areas of the park. During the rainy season, game disperses into the most remote areas of the park.
Today, you will enjoy a full day of safari aboard an open 4x4, with a stop at Halali Resort for lunch.
Waterberg
Namutoni → Waterberg Plateau
We are now heading south towards the Waterberg Plateau. The Waterberg, a characteristic plateau, is located 230 km north of Windhoek and 50 km east of Otjiwarongo: the Waterberg covers an area of 50 km by 15 km, or 400 km². The Waterberg Plateau rises approximately 200 m above the surrounding region. Since the upper layers are made up of porous rocks, precipitation infiltrates through the rock, creating lush vegetation at the foot of the mountain.

Okapuka Safari Lodge
Your last day in Namibia. You are now heading to a lodge located on the outskirts of Windhoek, where you will spend your last night. Only optional activities are offered here.
Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is at the heart of the country, surrounded by magnificent mountains, vast valleys and fertile agricultural lands. The landscape of the Greater Windhoek region surrounding this bustling city is characterized by vast valleys, thick scrubland, rocky hills and golden savanna. Visitors can explore the dry riverbeds and mountainous garrigue, as well as admire birdwatchers, observe leopards and admire large amounts of wildlife in the north; visit the more arid eastern part with its olive plantations, potato farms and date palms; explore the rolling hills of the Khomas Hochland mountains to the west of the Greater Windhoek region and enjoy epic views along several picturesque passes leading to the high plateau, including the Bosua Pass, the Gamsberg Pass and the Spreetshoogte Pass.

Passeport
Pour entrer en Namibie, votre passeport doit être valide au minimum six mois après la date d'entrée dans le pays et comporter au moins deux à trois pages vierges pour les tampons d'immigration.
Le document doit être en bon état (pas de pages détériorées, déchirées ou modifiées).
Séjour touristique sans visa
Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen, de la Suisse et du Canada bénéficient d'une exemption de visa pour les séjours touristiques en Namibie.
Cette exemption permet un séjour pouvant aller jusqu'à 90 jours par période de 12 mois. La durée de séjour autorisée est précisée par l'agent d'immigration à l'entrée sur le territoire.
Les autorités peuvent demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour,
la confirmation d'une réservation d'hébergement ou un itinéraire de voyage.
Carte d'arrivée
À l'arrivée en Namibie, il vous sera demandé de remplir un formulaire d'entrée sur le territoire (carte d'arrivée) remis généralement dans l'avion ou disponible aux postes frontières et dans les aéroports internationaux.
Ce formulaire requiert notamment :
les informations du passeport,
les détails du vol ou du moyen de transport emprunté,
l'adresse du premier hébergement en Namibie,
la durée prévue du séjour.
Santé et vaccinations
Aucun vaccin n'est obligatoire pour entrer en Namibie sauf en provenance d'un pays à risque de fièvre jaune, auquel cas un certificat international de vaccination contre la fièvre jaune est exigé.
À titre préventif, il est recommandé de consulter un médecin ou un centre de vaccination avant le départ. Les vaccinations suivantes sont généralement conseillées :
hépatites A et B,
typhoïde,
tétanos-diphtérie-poliomyélite.
La prophylaxie antipaludéenne est fortement recommandée pour les voyages dans le nord du pays, notamment dans les régions du Caprivi (Zambèze), du Kavango et d'Etosha. Consultez votre médecin pour un traitement adapté à votre situation.
Voyage avec des enfants
Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport valide couvrant la durée du séjour.
La Namibie applique des règles strictes concernant les voyages de mineurs. Lorsqu'un enfant voyage avec un seul parent ou sans ses parents, il est fortement recommandé de se munir :
d'une autorisation de voyage signée par l'autre parent ou par les deux parents en cas de voyage avec un tiers,
de l'acte de naissance original de l'enfant,
des justificatifs de la situation familiale le cas échéant (jugement de garde, acte de décès, etc.).

Les conditions d'entrée peuvent varier selon la nationalité. Les voyageurs concernés doivent se renseigner auprès de l'ambassade ou du consulat de Namibie de leur pays de résidence.
