Heading to Rompin

Kuala LumpurParc naturel Rompin

4h30300 km

After breakfast, you leave Kuala Lumpur to cross the Malay Peninsula from west to east, heading towards the Endau-Rompin State Park, one of the oldest tropical forests in the world.

Upon your arrival, you settle in at the Rompin Rainforest Lodge and enjoy a free afternoon to relax or soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the jungle before the evening discoveries.

After dinner, head out on a night hike of approximately 1h30 accompanied by a local guide. As darkness falls, the forest reveals a completely different face: the songs of insects replace those of birds, shadows come alive beneath the canopy and the jungle transforms into a mysterious universe where it is sometimes possible to observe discreet wildlife, active only after sunset.

Beyond animal watching, this walk is a true sensory immersion into the heart of the tropical forest. Your guide will share their knowledge of this exceptional ecosystem with you while ensuring your safety throughout the journey.

Cruise and Hiking in Rompin

After breakfast, this day is dedicated to discovering the preserved landscapes of Endau-Rompin State Park, between river, tropical forest and waterfall.

You embark on a cruise along the Sungai Kinchin river, a peaceful way to explore the tropical forest from the water. As you navigate, keep your eyes open: monkeys, birds and other wildlife can sometimes be spotted on the banks, while lush vegetation offers an exceptional setting.

Back at the lodge, you enjoy lunch before taking a moment of rest.

In the afternoon, you set off on foot towards the Mahkota waterfall. The trail winds through an ancient tropical forest where your guide introduces you to the richness of the local flora. Along the way, it is sometimes possible to observe elephant tracks, which regularly use these passages, as well as impressive umbrella palms.

At the end of the hike, you reach the Mahkota waterfall, whose crystal-clear waters with blue-green reflections plunge down nearly 50 meters in height. You can swim in its natural pools or simply enjoy the freshness and tranquility of the place before heading back.

After your breakfast, you get back in your vehicle heading east to reach Mersing.

MersingTioman Island

2h55 km

Upon arrival at the jetty, you say goodbye to your driver and board the ferry for a crossing of approximately two hours to Tioman Island.

Upon arrival, you are greeted and then driven to your hotel located in the south of the island. Tioman has only one main road and most of the beaches are only accessible by boat, which gives it a preserved atmosphere.

At the end of the day, take a stroll on the beach in front of your hotel at sunset and enjoy the setting.

Today, you enjoy a free day on the island. You take time to savor breakfast in this setting, with passion fruit, pineapple and mangoes on the menu to start the day well. You can then go for a walk on the northwest coast of the island. From the village of Tetek, two jungle treks are available to you: following the coast northward to reach the famous Monkey Beach, or crossing the land to reach the east coast and the village of Juara.

The return in the afternoon is by the Mukut waterfall, located just steps from your hotel. Swimming, relaxation in hammocks and dinner on the beach come to pleasantly end this day.
