This 10-day journey invites you to explore two of the most beautiful faces of Gabon, from the depths of the equatorial forest to the pristine shores of the Atlantic Ocean. In the heart of the Ivindo National Park, you discover a territory shaped by rivers, canyons and vast forest expanses, where the Kongou Falls rank among the most impressive natural spectacles in the country.
The adventure continues in the Langoué region, recognized for the richness of its wildlife. From an observation platform set up on the edge of the bai, you watch the movements of animals coming to drink and feed in this natural clearing open in the heart of the forest.
The journey ends in the Pongara National Park, between lagoons, wild beaches and coastal forest. 4x4 safaris, nature discovery on foot, kayaking and nocturnal observation of leatherback turtles complete this immersion in one of the most preserved ecosystems of the Gabonese coast.

Arrival in Libreville
Upon your arrival in Libreville, capital of Gabon opening onto the Atlantic Ocean, you are welcomed by our local team and transferred to your hotel.
After settling into your hotel, set off to discover the city on a panoramic tour that allows you to appreciate the different facets of the Gabonese capital, between lively neighborhoods, cultural heritage and coastal atmosphere.

Flight to the forests of north-eastern Gabon
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Makokou.
Located in the north-east of Gabon, this town is one of the main gateways to the vast forest areas of Ivindo National Park.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your local team and transferred to your accommodation. Check-in at your hotel and free time to enjoy the peace and quiet of this town surrounded by equatorial forest.
The Kongou Falls, at the heart of Ivindo National Park
After breakfast, you head to the dock to board a pirogue on the Ivindo River.
As you navigate, traces of civilization gradually fade away to make room for the immensity of the equatorial forest. For several hours, the river becomes your only access route to one of Gabon's most preserved natural spaces.
Upon arrival at the Ivindo National Park, you settle in at Camp Kongou before departing to discover the canyons and Kongou Falls. Considered one of Gabon's natural treasures, these impressive waterfalls display their power in the midst of dense forest and offer a breathtaking sight in the heart of Ivindo National Park.
Hiking in the forest and route to Booué

This day begins with a hike in the heart of the forest of the Ivindo National Park. Accompanied by your guide, you discover the riches of this exceptional environment, where dense vegetation, tall trees and the sounds of the forest create a unique atmosphere.
Driving
After this immersion in the heart of nature, return towards Makokou before continuing your journey towards Booué, gateway to the Langoué region. This route allows you to cross part of the forest landscapes that make northeastern Gabon famous.

After breakfast, you continue your adventure to the Langoué clearing, one of the most remarkable wildlife observation sites in Gabon. In the heart of the equatorial forest, this vast natural clearing attracts numerous animals coming to drink or feed, offering privileged conditions for observing wild life.
Upon arrival, you settle on the observation platform set up on the edge of the clearing. From the first hours, you take your place facing this open space overlooking the forest and enjoy your first observations in an environment where every animal appearance remains a privileged moment.

The platform is an observation structure designed for stays of several days. Travelers generally sleep in simple rooms or compartments integrated into the platform, with communal spaces allowing you to observe the clearing without disturbing wildlife.
A Day at the Rhythm of Wildlife
This day is entirely dedicated to wildlife observation from the observation tower at Langoué bai. From this privileged vantage point overlooking the clearing, you take time to observe the comings and goings of animals that frequent this open space in the heart of the equatorial forest.
As the hours pass, every movement catches your attention and reveals the richness of this preserved ecosystem. The bai constitutes a natural meeting point for many species, making this experience a highlight of any exploration of Ivindo national park.
Last moments at the Langoué lagoon and return to Libreville
Baï De Langoué → Booué
After a final morning dedicated to wildlife observation at the Langoué bai, it is time to leave this natural sanctuary nestled in the heart of the equatorial forest. You then head to Booué, a connection point between the vast wild spaces of the country's interior and the rest of Gabon.
Booué → Libreville
Upon your arrival, embark on board the train heading to Libreville. Along the journey, forest landscapes unfold behind the windows, offering a final immersion in the vast spaces that have punctuated your adventure through Ivindo National Park.
Heading to Pongara National Park
From Libreville
After breakfast, you head to the dock to board towards the Pongara National Park. Located opposite Libreville, on the other side of the Komo estuary, this vast protected area is home to a mosaic of landscapes composed of wild beaches, lagoons, forests and coastal savannas.
Upon arrival, you will be settled at the lodge and then have free time to enjoy the natural setting.
The afternoon is dedicated to a 4x4 safari through the park, a first discovery of its different ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabits it.
Between Coastal Forest and Leatherback Turtle Nesting Beaches
This day is dedicated to exploring the different ecosystems of the Pongara National Park. During a walking visit, you discover the landscapes that make this region unique, where coastal forest, lagoons and Atlantic beaches coexist in a preserved environment.
You continue your discovery during a safari by 4x4 through the park, offering another perspective on the natural diversity of Pongara.
After dinner, enjoy one of the highlights of the trip with a night-time excursion on the beach to observe leatherback turtles coming to lay their eggs. In the calm of the night, this rare experience allows you to witness one of the great natural spectacles of Gabon's coastline.
Between lagoons, beach and outdoor activities at Pongara
This day is dedicated to discovering the natural landscapes of the Pongara National Park. During a hike, you explore the different environments that make up this preserved territory, between forest, savanna and coastline.
You also enjoy a moment of relaxation on the beach before heading out kayaking on the calm waters of the lagoons, a pleasant way to appreciate the natural richness of the site.

In the afternoon, return by boat to Libreville.

Passport
To enter Gabon, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your entry date into the country and have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada must in principle hold a valid visa to enter Gabon for a tourist stay.
The visa can generally be obtained:
from the relevant Gabon embassy or consulate before departure,
as an electronic visa (e-visa), if available, by applying online through the official Gabonese authorities' portal.
The authorized length of stay is generally 30 days, renewable on-site with Gabonese immigration services under certain conditions.
The authorities may also request:
an exit ticket (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
an accommodation booking for the duration of your trip.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
Presentation of an international yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory to enter Gabon, regardless of your country of origin. This certificate must be issued on the WHO-approved international vaccination record.
It is recommended to have this vaccination at least ten days before departure so that the certificate is valid upon arrival.
Health
Beyond yellow fever, several health precautions are recommended before traveling to Gabon:
antimalarial prophylaxis is strongly advised, as malaria is present throughout the territory,
updating your routine vaccinations (hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, meningitis) is recommended,
it is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination center before departure.
Travel with Children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay, as well as an individual visa if applicable.
In certain European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization from the territory may be required according to the regulations of their country of residence.
