Arrival in Tashkent and Discovery of the Uzbek Capital
Upon your arrival at the airport, you are welcomed by your local guide, who accompanies you throughout your stay. You are then transferred to your hotel. Breakfast is provided on-site, while check-in to your room takes place in the afternoon, subject to availability.
You begin your discovery with a panoramic tour of Tashkent, capital of Ouzbékistan. This first approach allows you to better understand the city's identity, where historical heritage and contemporary development coexist harmoniously.

The Khasti Imam Square (16th-21st centuries), considered the religious heart of Tashkent.
The Barak-Khan madrasah (16th century), former center for teaching religious and secular sciences.

The Tilla Shaykh Mosque, known for its rich collection of ancient manuscripts.

You continue your discovery with a visit to the Tchor Sou market, one of the oldest bazaars in Tashkent. Beneath its domes, colorful stalls offer a wide variety of spices, dried fruits and products from local craftsmanship.
Accompanied by your guide, you explore several pavilions emblematic of the market, a true place of life where commercial traditions, local flavors and everyday scenes blend together. This immersion allows you to experience the authentic atmosphere of Uzbek markets and better understand local customs.
You then experience an original experience on board the Tashkent metro, renowned for its carefully designed architecture and stations decorated in an Art Deco-inspired style. A true underground museum, it reflects different facets of the country's history and identity.

Journey to Khiva, the Pearl of the Silk Road
To Urgentch
After an early breakfast at the hotel, you are transferred to the airport to board your 7:00 AM flight to Ourguentch (flight duration: 1 hour 20 minutes).

Upon your arrival in Ourguentch around 8:30 AM, you continue your journey by vehicle transfer towards Khiva, the first stop in the footsteps of the historic cities of the Silk Road. Your guide ensures the smooth running of this transition to accompany you in the best conditions.
This day is dedicated to the discovery of Khiva, a veritable open-air museum, and more particularly to the Itchan Kala, the "inner city", listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by rammed earth walls 2,200 meters long and accessible through four monumental gates, this ancient fortified city immerses you in the atmosphere of the great stages of the Silk Road.
Throughout the visit, you discover a remarkably well-preserved architectural ensemble. The soaring minarets and terraces of clay houses compose an evocative landscape of Central Asian caravan cities.

Walking around the walls to the west and entering the city through the Western gate, with discovery of the ceramic map of the city.
The Médersa Mohammed Amin Khan (19th century), now converted into a hotel.
The Kalta Minar minaret, whose original project planned for it to become the tallest in the Muslim world, but only the base was built in 1855.
The Khan's former prison, testimony to the judicial practices in force until the early 20th century.
The Kunya Citadel, now transformed into a museum, where you visit the mosque and its mint workshop, decorated with glazed tiles, as well as the reception courtyard and the throne room, symbols of the power of the khans of Khiva.
Throughout the day, your local guide accompanies you to help you better understand the history and functioning of this emblematic city of Ouzbékistan.
In late afternoon, you have the opportunity to climb to the top of the Ak Cheikh Bobo bastion. From this elevated point, you enjoy a panoramic view of the walls as well as the main monuments of the walled city, offering a beautiful perspective of the entire Itchan Kala.
The day ends with dinner at a local restaurant, an opportunity to share a convivial moment and discover Uzbek cuisine.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure at 9:00 AM to continue your discovery of Khivaand deepen your immersion in its architectural and craft heritage.
Exploration of Khiva's emblematic sites
Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasah (19th century), organized around two courtyards and now transformed into a craft center and museum.
Stroll through the historic alleyways, where former caravanserais and madrasahs now host craft workshops. Visit to a wood carving workshop.
Complex of Koch madrasahs, with the discovery of the Allazh Kouli Khan madrasahs and Kutlug Murad Inak, as well as their historic cistern.
This morning takes place in the heart of the old town, in an authentic atmosphere.
Visit to the sumptuous Tash Khaouli palace (19th century), the khan's second residence.

For those who wish, climb to the top of the Islam Khodja Minaret, symbol of Khiva, offering a panoramic view over the city.
Visit to the Islam Khodja madrasah, now transformed into a museum of decorative arts and photography.

Around 3:00 PM, transfer to the station to board the train to Bukhara.

Exploration of Bukhara, Gem of the Silk Road
After breakfast at the hotel, your local guide will pick you up at 9:00 AM for a day dedicated to discovering the old city of Bukhara the Noble. Ancient sacred city and great spiritual center of Islam in Central Asia, Bukhara once had nearly 200 madrassahs and 365 mosques.
Morning - Bukhara's emblematic monuments:
Ismail Samani Mausoleum (9th-10th centuries), one of the oldest monuments of Muslim architecture, built in fired brick by the founder of the Samanid dynasty.
Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, housing a legendary well attributed to the prophet Job and now transformed into a water museum.
Bolo Haouz Mosque (1712), recognizable by its 20 carved wooden pillars and its minaret from 1917.
Ark Citadel, an ancient fortress over 2000 years old, with its monumental entrance, the throne court, the Friday Mosque transformed into a calligraphy museum and the former chancellery, now a museum tracing Bukhara's life in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Afternoon - Immersion in architectural and commercial heritage
Poi-Kalyan Complex (12th-16th centuries) comprising the Kalon minaret (46 m), the only monument spared by Genghis Khan in 1220, the great Kalon Mosque, which can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers, as well as the Mir Arab madrassah, still in operation.

Toqi Zargaron (16th century), former jewelers' dome, today dedicated to craftsmanship.

Ulugh Beg Madrassah (15th century), founded by the astronomer prince.

Magok-i-Attari Mosque (11th-12th centuries), built on the remains of a former Zoroastrian temple and now transformed into a carpet museum.
Toqi Sarafon (16th century), former money changers' market.
Lyab-i-Khauz Complex (1620) comprising the Nadir Divan Beghi khanaga, a former dervish inn now used as an exhibition hall, the statue of Nasr ed Din, a historical and satirical character, the Nadir Divan Beghi madrassah decorated with a Mongol sun and fantastical birds, as well as the Kukeldash madrassah, the largest in Bukhara with its 140 cells spread over two levels.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure at 9:30 am to explore the monuments located on the outskirts of Bukhara: Discovery of jewels outside the city
Sitora-i-Mokhi-Khossa, former summer residence of the last emir of Bukhara, located 5 km from the historic center. Built in 1914, it is distinguished by its refined decorations in plaster and stucco. Visit of the courtyard, the reception halls, the rose gardens, the pool and the harem, which is said to have housed up to 40 women and is now transformed into a suzani embroidery museum.
Mausoleum of Bakhoviddin Nakchbandi, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Central Asia. This sanctuary houses the tomb of Bakhoviddin Nakchbandi, founding master of the Naqshbandi Sufi order, one of the greatest Sufi brotherhoods. A place steeped in spirituality, where many pilgrims come to pay their respects.
Chor Minor Madrasah, a singular edifice recognizable by its four distinctive towers, unique of its kind in Central Asia.

From Bukhara to Samarkand: Craftsmanship and Discovery of the Pearl of Central Asia
Morning Crafts and history on the road to Samarkand
Departure towards Samarkand, with several stops along the Silk Road.
Stop in Gijduvon, known for its ceramic tradition. Visit to Mr. Narzoullayev's workshop, a sixth-generation potter, who shows you his craftsmanship and manufacturing techniques, with explanations in English-speaking.
Photo stop at the Rabati Malik sardoba (14th century), an ancient water reservoir intended for caravans.
Discovery of the remains of the Rabati Malik caravanserai (11th century), whose monumental portal still bears witness to its importance on trade routes.
Arrival in Samarkand around 1:00 PM. Lunch in a local restaurant, then hotel check-in.
Afternoon Exploration of Tamerlane's capital
Samarkand, a great city on the Silk Road, was once an important commercial center of Sogdiana before being marked by the Mongol invasion. Two centuries later, Tamerlane made it the capital of his empire, giving it a major role in the region once again.
Discovery of the famous Registan square, an emblematic ensemble composed of three monumental madrasas:
Ulugh Beg Madrasa (15th century), founded by the astronomer prince of the Timurid dynasty.
Tilla Kari Madrasa (17th century), known for its rich interior decoration.
Sher-Dor Madrasa (17th century), identifiable by its lion motifs adorning the portal.
Return to the hotel after the visit.

A Cultural Day in Samarkand: Between History and Astronomy
After breakfast at the hotel, you continue exploring Samarkand, the former capital of Tamerlane's empire.
Morning Discovery of Samarkand's historical treasures
Bibi Khanum Mosque (15th century), built by Tamerlane after his campaign in India. Built with 400 marble pillars, it was among the largest mosques of its time before being restored in 2003.
Visit to the Siyob market, the city's main bazaar, known for its traditional "non" bread and dried grapes, local specialties.
Lunch on your own.
Afternoon History and astronomy
Afrasiab Museum, located on the heights of ancient Afrasiab, the site of the first Samarkand destroyed during the Mongol invasion. The museum traces nearly 20 centuries of the city's history and notably presents the famous pre-Islamic Sogdian frescoes from the 8th century.
Ulugh Beg Observatory (15th century), founded by the astronomer prince and grandson of Tamerlane. This major medieval scientific center housed a massive sextant that made it possible to establish with great precision the position of 1,018 stars.

Last day in Samarkand
After breakfast at the hotel, you continue with the last visits to Samarkand before your return to Tashkent.
Morning Iconic monuments of Samarkand
Gour Emir Mausoleum(15th century), the burial place of Tamerlane, recognizable by its blue dome. Nearby, discover the statue dedicated to the sovereign.
Mausoleum of Saint Daniel, a site of inter-religious pilgrimage. According to tradition, the relics of the prophet were brought from Iran by Tamerlane. The site, dating from the early 20th century, is venerated by Muslims, Christians and Jews.
Free lunch.
Afternoon Final immersion in Samarkand's history
The Shakhi Zinda necropolis ("the Living King"), a group of mausoleums dedicated to Koussam Ibn Abbas, cousin of the prophet Mohammed. Once consisting of 44 monuments, the site now preserves part of them, including the tombs of relatives of Tamerlane as well as those of several of his generals.
Free time to do your last shopping in the souks or craft shops of the city.
Transfer to the station to take the TGV train to Tashkent.

Journey through the Fergana Valley: from Kokand to Marghilan

Drive to Richton, renowned throughout the valley for its ceramic tradition. The city is known for its pieces made from local red clay, decorated with natural blue and green pigments, then glazed according to a know-how passed down from generation to generation.
Continue the drive to Marghilan, a historic center of silk production in Ouzbékistan.

Welcome at the Dostuk Border Post, at the border between Ouzbékistan and Kyrgyzstan, then transfer to the city of Osh.
Visit to the sacred mountain of Sulaiman-Too, also called the Throne of Solomon, an important Muslim pilgrimage site inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.

Horse riding around the alpine lake, located at 1,837 meters altitude, to discover the surrounding landscapes.

Toktogul Artificial Lake

Departure towards Toktogul, a vast artificial lake of 284 km². The road crosses contrasting landscapes, between rocky reliefs with varied hues.
Along the way, passage through the Tachkomur mining region and through the Lower Naryn Gorge, characterized by its red sandstone walls, before arriving at the Toktogul reservoir.

Arrival in the Soussamyr valley, known for its vast mountain landscapes and large open spaces typical of Kyrgyzstan.

Continuation along the Kokomeren River, a remarkable natural site in Kyrgyzstan, appreciated for its landscapes and opportunities for photography, fishing or whitewater activities.
Arrival on the shores of the Son-Koul Lake, an alpine lake located at 3,016 meters altitude. A true freshwater reserve, it offers changing landscapes, with colors varying from blue to green depending on the light.

Day of relaxation and discovery of the nomadic way of life. Participation in traditional activities of the host family:
Making kumiss (fermented milk).

Historic caravanserai on the Silk Road

Travel back in time with a visit to the Tach Rabat Caravanserai, one of the best-preserved testimonies of the Silk Road.
Located on the ancient road connecting the region to Kashgar, this 15th-century stone building served as a shelter for merchants and travelers crossing the mountains. Composed of numerous rooms, it preserves the atmosphere of the old caravanserai stops.

Tach Rabat → Kochkor
Arrival in the city of Naryn, a small mountain town situated in the heart of a natural environment, crossed by the Naryn River.
Route towards Kochkor, a village known for its local development initiatives. Visit of the women's cooperative, specialized in the manufacture of traditional felt carpets, called sherdaks.
In the evening, discovery of Kyrgyz culture through a traditional folk show:
Performance by a Manas storyteller, who shares the epic tales of legendary heroes of the Kyrgyz people.

From Konorchek to Bishkek: Magnificent Landscapes and Kyrgyz History
Kochkor → Bishkek
Visit of the Konorchek canyon, a natural site with red rock formations sculpted by erosion. Its sand columns with scarlet hues form an impressive and pristine landscape.
Stop at the site of the Burana Minaret, a remnant of an ancient Jami mosque destroyed in the 13th century during the Tatar invasions.
Opportunity to climb to the top of the minaret to enjoy a clear view over the surrounding countryside. Visit to the attached museum, which presents the history of the site and the region.
Final leg of the journey towards Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan. The route crosses landscapes of verdant mountains, representative of the country's vast spaces and its traditional way of life.

Santé
