Discover the Cusco region through an itinerary that prioritizes hiking, immersion and lesser-known paths. After a few days of acclimatization in Cusco, you explore confidential archaeological sites and the landscapes of the Sacred Valley, before following ancient Inca trails across the mountains.
Throughout the hikes, peaks, valleys and Andean villages make up the scenery, while encounters with locals allow you to experience Quechua culture and traditions that remain very much alive. The adventure takes you to Machu Picchu, which you reach on foot via the legendary Inca Trail: a progressive and privileged arrival at one of Pérou's most iconic sites.
The journey then continues towards the colorful mountains of Palcoyo and the little-known Ananiso canyon, far from the most frequented itineraries. A human-scaled adventure, between hiking, Inca heritage and wide open spaces, to discover a more confidential side of the Cusco region.

Day-by-day itinerary
Hiking from Yuncaypata to Inkiltambo, in the highlands of Cusco
Today, we will pick you up at your hotel for a bus journey of approximately half an hour to the village of Yuncaypata, located in the highlands of Cusco.
From this point, we will begin a pleasant hike mainly downhill through the Cusco countryside, until reaching the ruins of Inkilltambo.
Accompanied by our guide, we will explore this superb archaeological complex, little-known but remarkably preserved, a precious testimony to local heritage.
After the visit, we will enjoy our picnic in this peaceful and rejuvenating natural setting.
To finish, we will continue our hike through a beautiful valley until we meet our driver, who will take us back to your hotel.

Chinchero - Poc Poc Waterfall - Ollantaytambo
This morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take the road for 45 minutes to the village of Chinchero.
Once there, we will begin our day of discoveries with a visit to a solidarity textile center, where we will learn more about the techniques of weaving and dyeing wool in the region.
We will then continue with a visit to the Inca ruins of the village, before starting a beautiful downhill hike along an ancient section of the Inca Trail.
During this experience lasting approximately 3h30 to 4h, which will take us from Chinchero to the Urquillos village, we will also have the opportunity to stop at the Poc Poc waterfall for a moment of relaxation and contemplation.
At the end of our hike, our driver will wait for you to take you back to Cusco or drop you off at your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Inca Trail
Ollantaytambo → Kilomètre 104
From Ollantaytambo, you will take the train to KM 104, the starting point of our adventure on the Inca Trail.
Kilomètre 104 → Wiñay Wayna
Our first historic stop will be Chachabamba, an Inca archaeological site located on the route leading to the Machu Picchu sanctuary.
Next, we will walk for approximately 3 hours to reach Wiñayhuayna, an impressive archaeological site featuring more than 40 agricultural terraces. Located at the summit of a mountain, its access is reserved exclusively for hikers on the Inca Trail.
We will continue our hike to Intipunku, a small complex of small houses that appears to have served as a control zone. This site offers an excellent opportunity to capture panoramic photos of the Machu Picchu city. It is probably the best place to admire the majestic splendor of the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.
After exploring the Inca citadel, you will descend by bus to the village of Aguas Calientes.
The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

Discovery of Machu Picchu
Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu
You will need to head to the main avenue of Aguas Calientes to take a shuttle that will take you to the entrance of the Machu Picchu. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
Today marks probably one of the highlights of your trip!
The Machu Picchu stands at 2,430 m altitude in the heart of the tropical forest, in an exceptional setting. This site probably represents one of the most impressive urban achievements of the Inca Empire at its peak. Its immense walls, terraces and ramps seem to be carved harmoniously into the rocky cliffs.
We will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours with our local guide, followed by free time so you can explore this wonder of the world at your own pace.
Machu Picchu → Aguas Calientes
After your visit to Machu Picchu, you will descend on foot to Aguas Calientes, a hike of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
If you prefer to descend by bus to the village instead, it is possible to buy your ticket at the exit of the site.
You will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, where the train company will welcome you to board a shuttle bus that will take you to Wanchaq station in Cusco.

Palcoyo and Ananiso Canyon: Hiking in the Andes
We will pick you up early this morning to head south of Cusco, towards the Palcoyo rainbow mountain range, starting point of our day's hike.
Palcoyo → Canyon de Ananiso
We will begin by observing the unique and colorful landscapes of the site, then we will start a magnificent walk, mainly downhill, until the Ananiso village. Throughout this itinerary of approximately 4 hours, we will enjoy spectacular views of the Ausangate mountain range as a backdrop.
Upon our arrival in Ananiso, we will take a long break to recover our strength and enjoy our lunch.
After this moment of rest, we will set out to explore the Ananiso canyon, located just a few minutes from the village. This canyon, millions of years old, offers a splendid setting and harbors rock paintings that the most adventurous can discover by crossing a small part of the river, with their feet in the water !

We will finally return to the village where our driver will be waiting to take us back on the return road.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passport
To enter Peru, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your entry date and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourism stay without a visa
Entry requirements depend on your nationality. You must verify the visa requirements and any visa exemptions applicable to you with the embassy or consulate of Peru in your country of residence.
Generally, immigration authorities may request:
an exit ticket from the country (return flight or onward travel),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
confirmation of an accommodation booking for the first nights.
Health and vaccinations
Vaccination requirements depend on your nationality and the regions you plan to visit. However, certain vaccinations are strongly recommended according to the areas visited:
yellow fever is recommended for travelers going to the Amazon regions and low-altitude areas (below 2,300 m); an international vaccination certificate may be required upon entry if you are arriving from a risk country,
updating routine vaccinations (hepatitis A, typhoid fever, tetanus) is advised.
Precautions against malaria are recommended in certain regions of the Peruvian Amazon. Consult a doctor or international vaccination center before your departure.
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
When a minor travels without one or both parents, Peruvian authorities may require a notarized parental authorization, ideally translated into Spanish. Additional requirements may apply depending on your country of residence.
