What are the mandatory and recommended vaccinations for a trip to Morocco?
No vaccinations are mandatory for Morocco. It is recommended to update your hepatitis A vaccination. For extended stays or in poor sanitary conditions, add hepatitis B, rabies, and typhoid.
Recommended vaccines for all travelers
Hepatitis A: update recommended before departure, as this infection is transmitted through contaminated water and food.
Also make sure your universal vaccines are up to date: DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis) and MMR (measles, mumps, rubella).
Vaccines for extended or high-risk stays
- Hepatitis B: for stays of more than one month or high-risk activities
- Rabies: in case of planned contact with animals or stay in isolated rural areas
- Typhoid: if poor hygiene conditions or frequent street food consumption
Advice from our local agency
Consult an international vaccination center 4 to 6 weeks before departure. Some vaccines require multiple injections spaced over time.
