What is the time difference between Morocco and France?
There is a one-hour time difference between France and Morocco. When it is 12:00 PM in mainland France, it is 11:00 AM in Morocco.
Time difference in detail
Morocco has adopted GMT+1 year-round since October 2018. Metropolitan France uses GMT+1 in winter and GMT+2 in summer (daylight saving time).
Practical consequences:
- In winter (October to March): no time difference between France and Morocco
- In summer (April to September): 1 hour time difference, it is earlier in Morocco
To remember for your trip
This minimal time difference greatly facilitates communications with France. No jet lag to expect upon arrival in Morocco, unlike long-haul destinations.
Pay attention to flight times: always check whether the time shown is local (Moroccan) or French when making your booking.
