Vineyards and Hospices of Beaune

At 11 a.m., meeting at Beaune train station to meet Captain Damien and the rest of the group.

After a brief presentation of the program, we hit the road for a short transfer to the famous Route des Grands Crus, in the heart of the renowned vineyards of Burgundy. Once there, we set up our picnic in the middle of prestigious vines. Surrounded by local products, Captain Damien shares his passion for wine and treats us to tastings of some emblematic vintages from the region, a true foretaste of the treasures of this wine-growing land.

The adventure continues with a beautiful hike through the vineyards towards Pommard, in the heart of the famous Pinot Noir vineyards. The walk allows us to stretch our legs while enjoying the rows of vines stretching as far as the eye can see.

At the end of the day, we visit the Hospices de Beaune, an essential stop on a trip to Burgundy. This historic monument, closely linked to the history of wine and the region, immerses us in a world full of culture and awakens our curiosity.

Following the visit, we check into our double rooms at the hotel, then we gather for dinner. The meal, composed of delicious local specialties, extends this moment of conviviality and pleasantly concludes this first evening in Beaune.

Activity: 10km, 3 hours of hiking, 150m of elevation gain / visit to the Hospices de Beaune

Hiking in the heart of the grands crus

After a good breakfast at the hotel, we gear up for the day's hike.

The itinerary forms a beautiful loop through the emblematic vineyards of the Tour de la Butte de Corton circuit. Mid-morning, we take a break for a well-deserved picnic, made up once again of local produce. Between bites of cheese and local cured meats, Captain Damien offers us another wine tasting from the region.

In early afternoon, a short transfer takes us to the Château du Clos de Vougeot, a site steeped in history. For those who wish, it is possible to visit the castle (subject to availability, with ticket purchase and payment on site). Captain Damien then takes us on one last walk through some of the most prestigious Grand Crus of Burgundy.

At the end of the day, we head towards Beaune train station, where we arrive at 5pm.

Activity: 9km, 3 hours of walking, 250m of elevation gain
