What are the mandatory and recommended vaccines for Chile?

No vaccination is strictly mandatory to enter Chile from France. Universal vaccines (DTP, hepatitis A and B) are recommended, as well as typhoid fever depending on the areas visited. Yellow fever is only required if you are coming from a risk country.

Recommended vaccinations

  • Universal vaccinations: DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis), hepatitis A and B — update recommended
  • Typhoid fever: advised depending on the regions visited and type of stay
  • COVID-19: complete vaccination recommended according to current measures

Special cases

Yellow fever: vaccination mandatory only if you are arriving from a country where the disease is endemic (Africa, tropical South America). No requirement for travelers coming directly from Europe.

Since Zika virus is rarely present in Chile, no specific vaccination is required.
