Welcome to Brésil!
Upon your arrival at Rio de Janeiro's international airport, a warm welcome awaits you. During your transfer to your hotel in Copacabana, let yourself be seduced by the first panoramic view of this fascinating city, formerly the capital of Brésil. Nestled between lush hills and spectacular bays, Rio de Janeiro offers a unique setting. In the distance, you can already catch a glimpse of its iconic landmarks: the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or freely exploring this vibrant metropolis.
Discovery of Rio de Janeiro
After your first night in Rio, your day begins with a half-day excursion to Corcovado and downtown.
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to begin the climb up Corcovado mountain. From its summit, you will enjoy a spectacular view of Rio. You will discover the famous Christ the Redeemer statue, 38 meters high, a symbol of faith and generosity of Cariocas.
A stop is planned in front of Maracanã Stadium (exterior view), to discuss its role during the World Cups of 1950 and 2014. The visit continues at the Sambodrome, venue for carnival parades.
The excursion includes a cable car ride to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, offering a unique panorama of the bay. The day concludes with a visit to the mythical beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.
Suggestion: in the evening, dine at the churrascaria Carretão do Lido, then attend the tropical show Ginga, an immersive experience in Brazilian culture blending samba, bossa nova, capoeira and carnival costumes. Reservation advised.
Favelas Tour
Free morning.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the daily reality of the favelas and discover the challenges faced by residents. Learn the history of these neighborhoods and understand how they became an essential component of carioca culture.
Suggestion: For an unforgettable experience, fly over Rio de Janeiro by helicopter (30 minutes). Prior booking recommended.
From Rio to Iguazu Falls - Brazilian Side: An Immersion into the Heart of a Natural Wonder
Rio de Janeiro → Foz do Iguaçu
Early in the morning, you leave the hustle and bustle of Rio de Janeiro to reach Foz do Iguaçu by plane.
Upon arrival, you head directly to visit the waterfalls on the Brazilian side.
You will discover one of the greatest natural spectacles in the world: more than 270 impressive cascades forming the Iguazu Falls. After the welcome center, a one-kilometer walk will take you to several viewpoints, leading to the famous Devil's Gorge, for a breathtaking visual experience.
The excursion ends at the top of the falls, accessible by stairs or panoramic elevator, before reaching the Porto Canoas walkway, overlooking the Iguazu River. Your driver will be waiting there to take you back to your hotel.
You will then visit the Bird Park of Foz do Iguaçu, where more than 150 species live in large aviaries integrated into the Atlantic forest. Macaws, parrots and toucans can be observed up close in this center dedicated to bird conservation.
Iguazu Falls - Argentine Side
We head off to discover the Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side at 08:30 am. Note that the majority of the falls are located on Argentine territory. There are 4 trails that allow you to see them up close in the heart of the forest. We take the park's small train to take us to the starting point of the hiking trails towards the waterfalls.
Heading to Manaus: The Gateway to the Amazon
Today, you head to the airport for a flight to Manaus, the famous city nestled in the heart of the Amazon basin, on the banks of the Negro River. The hustle and bustle of this large city contrasts sharply with the immensity of the surrounding jungle, which stretches as far as the eye can see.
Once thriving and fashionable, the Amazon capital is experiencing a new boom as a free trade zone. Upon your arrival, a transfer to your accommodation is planned.
Immersion in the Amazon
After breakfast at the hotel, departure towards the port of Manaus to board a speedboat. You will travel along the left bank of the Negro River, admiring the floating port of Manaus, regional boats and the municipal market.
Then heading towards the famous natural phenomenon of the meeting of the waters, where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões flow side by side without mixing immediately. A stop is planned to observe it up close.
You will continue to the Janauari ecological park, a space of 9,000 hectares bringing together dry forest, flooded forests and marshy areas. You will discover the majestic Victoria Regia, an aquatic plant emblematic of the Amazon.
Lunch will be served in a floating restaurant, followed by a visit to local craft shops.
In the afternoon, you will be welcomed by an indigenous tribe. The shaman will invite you to participate in a welcome ritual, before a moment of exchange with community members and discovery of their craftsmanship.
The day ends with an encounter with pink dolphins, gentle and curious, in their natural habitat. Return to Manaus at the end of the afternoon, arrival expected around 4:00 PM.
In the Heart of the Amazon Jungle
Manaus → Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge
Transfer to the Amazon EcoPark Jungle Lodge.
Upon arrival, you will visit the Monkey Forest, a rehabilitation center dedicated to the reintroduction of wild animals into their natural habitat, mainly species seized as part of illegal trafficking.
In the afternoon, you will set off for a fishing session, where you can try to catch piranhas or other fish from the region.
In the evening, a canoe trip will allow you to observe alligators in their natural environment.
Excursions follow pre-established itineraries, but can be adjusted depending on weather conditions, dry season or flood season. The flood season generally extends from February to July, while the dry season runs from August to January.
Amazon Jungle Exploration Day
You will dedicate this entire day to exploring the Amazon jungle, accompanied by experienced local guides.
On the agenda:
A hike through nature where you will learn to identify local fauna and flora, spot edible fruits, find drinking water and navigate through the forest.
A visit to the monkey forest, a center dedicated to the rehabilitation and reintroduction of wild animals into their natural habitat.
A meeting with an indigenous inhabitant, in his home, to discover the traditions and lifestyle of Amazonian communities.
And finally, a fishing session in the waters of the region, for a total immersion in local life.
Heading towards Salvador: historical jewel of Bahia
After a good breakfast, collect your luggage and take the road for your transfer: heading to Salvador!
You arrive in Salvador da Bahia, nicknamed the "Land of Happiness". Located on the northern coast of Brésil, this historic city captivates with its Renaissance architecture, a testament to its colonial past as the former capital of the Brazilian empire. Bahia was also the site of the first slave market in the Americas, and its population today embodies a unique blend of African, European and Amerindian influences.
Colonial History and Afro-Brazilian Culture in Salvador
After breakfast, set off to discover Salvador through a fascinating historical tour tracing the birth of Brésil's first capital. Walking through the streets of the historic center, you will travel back in time and immerse yourself in the heart of Brazilian history.

Passport
To enter Brazil, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay and have at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area and Switzerland benefit from visa exemption for tourist stays.
This exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days upon entry to the territory, limited to 180 days per 12-month period. No extension is generally granted beyond this duration without an appropriate visa.
Canadian nationals also benefit from visa exemption for tourist stays, under the same duration conditions.
Authorities may request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
an accommodation address in Brazil.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Brazil from the EEA, Switzerland or Canada. However, certain vaccinations are strongly recommended:
yellow fever is recommended for travelers going to Amazonian regions or certain at-risk areas; an international vaccination certificate may be required upon entry if you are arriving from at-risk countries,
vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B and typhoid are also advised depending on your itinerary.
It is recommended to consult a doctor or international vaccination center before your departure.
Traveling with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
When a minor travels without one of their parents or without both parents, a notarized parental authorization may be required by Brazilian authorities upon entry or exit from the territory. This requirement also applies to children of Brazilian nationality. It is advisable to inquire with the Brazilian embassy before departure.
